There’s been a lot of debate about firing Canada during the season or waiting until the end of the season. How about firing him in the 2nd quarter? :butcher: :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Well he would have to go up to the tower to do it since he isn't on the sidelines.

I do hope that he will be gone after this season.

Hmmm…maybe that’s why Canada coaches from up there. Makes it tougher to fire him during the game. :hmm:

Not well. So you’re admitting that it was the HEAD COACH that was the problem.:hmm:

What does firing him fix? Do we get a new offense? Do receivers catch the ball? Does the punter returner field the ball cleanly? Does it heal our injuries?

there’s only one thing it does and that’s appease the torch and pitchfork crowd and that’s useless

Wow…I can almost understand your defense of Tomlin, he probably deserves a little more leeway given his reputation, perceived or otherwise. But you’re seriously suggesting that Matt Canada should be retained after this season? Should we EVER fire anyone for anything?

Did I ever say anything about not firing him after the season? What does firing him now do? Do the wr suddenly catch the ball? Does our returner field the kicks cleanly? Does it heal our injuries?

Thanks for clarifying. I’m not necessarily a fan of firing a coach in season either. But it wouldn’t hurt my feelings if Canada was given his walking papers during the bye week if things don’t improve. I think Mike Sullivan could keep Pickett in track.

because Sullivan has such an outstanding track record as an oc. And you do realize it will still be the same offense? Basically you admit it won’t fix any of our problems. You just want to do it for the hell of it. I’m guessing when your toe hurts you go see a dentist

I’m not saying that Sullivan would be the permanent solution. I’m saying there wouldn’t be a drop off from Canada to Sullivan if Tomlin chose to fire him during the season. Try to keep up.

I keep up just fine. Perhaps you should keep track of your own crap before pointing fingers at someone else. Remember everytime you point a finger at someone else there are three point back at yourself

Firing O' Canada I agree will do nothing on a midseason firing. He should not have been brought back period. But here we are.

Yes the old adage if the receivers could catch on a consistent basis ect ect ect I understand.

Running on 1st and 2nd down which gains nothing because the opposing defense does not respect the run. Or the pass for that matter. Canada's calls are head scratchers. How about needing 7 or 8 yards and throw it 4? This is why Ben would go rouge last season.

Hopefully Pickett in spite of this college play caller can excel and continue on an up arrow trajectory. This is what i'm focused on at this moment.

Probably wouldn’t do anything but I wouldn’t shed a tear if they cut him loose. Can’t hurt, gonna play worse

Maybe it shakes players out of apathy, maybe they get a turn around like the Ravens did when firing their OC in season.

Or maybe Canada is just a figurehead following what Tomlin tells him to do in which case nothing changes.

Probably not, but sometimes a shake up is necessary and can provide a refocus.

Now I didn't want Him as a OC in the 1st place.....I have way way many post showing this , and So I for sure didn't want Him back this Year.
Funny most the people wanting Him gone......Right This Instant.....are the the same that told Me it was Ben holding back His genius schemes. LoL

    With all that said..........
I would bet money He is gone after the season. The Steelers way is if He is even reduced in play calling....they will keep Him on until the season ends. It's the way they role.
