HOF QB Big Ben wasn't untouchable, so why is HOF Coach Tomlin?

If it proves to everyone he is NOT a HOF coach it’s worth it.

I met Chuck Noll when I was about 12 years old at a Steelers benefit at a hunting and fishing club in South Fayette. Andy Russell, Jack Ham, Franco Harris and several other legends were there from what I recall. My dad was super excited for the opportunity to meet all these great Steelers and I was stoked (as if that was even a word back in the 70's) to go fishing. I can remember fish were biting like crazy and my dad had to drag me away up to the clubhouse to meet these guys. I believe Chuck Noll was the first I met and I think I told him I wanted to get back to fishing. LOL.

Anyone who would sacrifice five years of the Steelers losing just to spite anybody is not a fan.

I don’t get to decide weather he stays or goes. We do know the Steelers are loyal so it will happen and none of us have a say in the matter. I was tempted to buy a Steelers tee shirt but I passed until Tomlin is gone. It’s my only voice (that and ticket sales)

I have no control I am trying to put a positive spin on this moron being our coach. High draft picks and him not being in the HOF is all I can come up with

Tomlin probably did his best coaching job that season, you failed to mention Duck threw 6 interceptions total against the Jets and Bills.

A lot of people in my opinion don’t belong in the HOF Deon for example

Therefore Tomlin will be in the HOF

I think You need to reread what He was commenting on.
You know I'm not a Lamar Jackson fan, but I promise You if He was our Qb .....I would not want us to lose just so He wouldn't be our Qb.
If a (so called)Ravens fan said ......I wish We would lose all our games for 5 years straight so they would get rid of Lamar.....how much of a Ravens fan do You think He would be???? A good one, a stupid one.....What???

They were 7-9 in Noll's last season, I guess they should've fired Cowher after he had back to back losing seasons in 98-99 .

If anything the Steelers will let the contract expire. They don't like paying someone to sit at home.

I would say L. Tomlinson. I don't think regular season should be enough. One of the worst playoff rbs in the last 30 years .....Yet He's in the HOF.

I’m fine with retaining Tomlin as well but only IF he hires a real OC and real DC and lets them run the show! He’s got to cede control to coordinators that know what they’re doing.

There's no general consensus on what determines Fandom. Its a subjective matter.

To actually wish that the team you supposedly root for to lose for 5 straight years sounds more like the gold standard for being a troll. There's probably a 8 percent chance the Steelers win on Sunday but I will be cheering like mad for that to happen.

76ers fans a few years ago in the nba literally embraced the team tanking for years to get better and had a whole motto about it called "trust the process". There are fans that understand you may have to suck for a few years in order to be good again. Doesn't make them any less of a fan.

Like if I were the fan of a team currently that sucks like the falcons for example and I know we don't have the qb of the future in place, I'd be ok with them tanking to get Bryce young.

Why don't they just forfeit then? Trust the process? Sounds like they tanked on purpose anyways.
