He meant to say 'rebuilding career', referring to himself.

He is still by far our best WR. Maybe Pickens overtakes him by the end of this year though.

Well no crap..... how many linemen were brought in? What QB just replaced? Lost a WR and replaced him with who? Etc etc.

Now do you even know what rebuilding actually is? Because something tells me you think it means to go 0-17.

Benny think it means we are going 0-17 against the lions all season long.

I think the copper is starting to get to him from all the coins he ate from his mother's purse.

Also his "penne" pal is SDOT.

When your hof qb retires after 18 years, it would be a rebuilding year for any team, we are a different team this year,

What did he "let slip"? Is there anyone who DIDN'T think this was a rebuilding year?

Ben hasn't been HOF caliber since 2018. The defense is worse now than it's ever been in my lifetime... 80's included.

Well, I think he means the players probably shouldn't be saying that to the media even though, we as fans, all know it's a rebuilding year.

DJ cost Trub his career by causing an INT and then not getting his feet in bounds for a TD. Freaking loser….

but we all owe DJ for his suckiness as that gave tomlin the excuse and scapegoat he needed to put Pickett in.

I'm going to hope you just forgot the green font. If not, have you never seen Trubisky play before? Losing his career ain't Johnson's fault!

It is still a mistake to say the quiet part aloud, no matter how true it may be.

If you say it is a rebuilding year you are admitting you are okay with losing...not because you are tanking to get a draft pick, but because you are saying you are a bad team trying to get better and winning isn't the priority for you.

The Steelers have been rebuilding for quite some time, this year more than any.

This is not a rebuild!! We have the highest paid defense in the NFL we tried to upgrade offensive line they drafted a QB number 1 and picked up another QB they thought would get them to playoffs this is not a rebuild it’s a culmination of bad draft picks , bad hires , bad game planning , and players not playing to their expectations!

I think most fans knew it was a rebuilding year. Not really a shock.

Johnson really has no business talking though. His inability to haul in catchable balls over the last two weeks is one of the main reasons Trubisky is on the bench. At least the Steelers didn't give him a long-term deal.

DJ also said the offense was better with Pickett in the game

True... I should have said DJ's ineptitude yesterday was the last nail in Trub's career coffin. I agree with you that DJ didn't make the coffin, that's for sure.

He’s frustrating to watch. He’s a solid route runner and gets open consistently. But he cannot make difficult catches - or sometimes even routine ones. And he doesn’t have homerun-type speed.
