I just read this on another site, and if true, from a $$$ perspective, the switch needs to be soon -

“Trubisky is due a $1 million bonus if he plays 60 percent of snaps this season, and that figure rises to $4 million if he reaches 70 percent of snaps.”

    Can anyone confirm?

I’m sorry, but Mitch doesn’t deserve a bonus for mediocre play. A bonus should be reserved for something extraordinary, not because you’ve got a stubborn coach who refuses to bench your butt even though you’re sucking it up and hurting your team when there’s a more talented and promising quarterback holding a clipboard on the sidelines.

Thanks ,so if he makes the plafoffs and plays most of the snaps he gets his cash if we miss them he gets a roster bonus that the Team could choose to cut him and not pay , is that the correct way of looking at it ?

I do not disagree, but can you possibly see the severity of the other problems lesson by replacing him?

I'm not delusional thinking Kenny won't maje some rookie gaffes, but there is the possibility the field opens more just by him doing proper reads. If indeed Mitch is told to focus on one guy only, and that's Canada's trust in every one he puts in there, then we might as well just run the wishbone.

And him hitting a bonus this year is going to increase his dead money hit next year? The Steelers have already decided to cut him?

Okay, let’s think about that for a minute. The OL is coming around and both the run blocking and pass blocking is improved. We have a couple of RBs who seem to complement each other well. We have elite receivers and an up and coming TE. What we don’t have right now is a quarterback who has the ability to effectively run the offense. Trubisky is the primary problem on the offensive side of the ball. Pickett time!

I’m not stopping until Kenny Pickett is installed as the starting quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers! :yeehaw::lolol:

But out of curiosity, what is it that you find overly optimistic about my post?
