    Tough night in Cleveland.
This one is not worth spending too much effort on, it was bad.
    In general:

    - Mitch Trubisky is not the QB I had hoped for. I was not thinking a brillant resurrection of his career, just a capable effort. He is terrible.
    - On Defense, there are bigger problems. Numerous issues.

what did you hope for? he SUCKED in CHI. we blew it in the offseason, if we KNEW we were taking Pickett, we should have taken TRUBS money and bought a STONGER oline. he sucked in CHI - did any of the FO watch his game film?

Yep, said it many times in the past, Big Ben had carried this team and Tomlin for years. More times then not he pulled out many close games. He was a gamer.

The Division opponents have built their teams to beat the Steelers, Ravens have been very vocal about it.

was rarely shown the appreciation of how incredible he was, ESP when it counts, in the 4th Q.

Chubb powered his way thrseough that defe
Well, in normal terms, I hoped he would be an adequate placeholder to allow time for Pickett to get his footing.
So no, we needed a QB, Mitch didn't cost much and his contract is short.
But he is worse than I hoped for.
I really don't want to throw Pickett in this mess yet.
And too boot, we have big problems on Defense, probably more so than offense. They were terrible.

I wrote that we are in another rough watch this season on offense and some people said i was crazy. Scraping out 14 points a game is rough. Our offense looks just like it did when duck hodges was qb and d had tin every game by only giving up 13 points or less.

I think the punter 's leg is going to give out with all those 4 q punts. He is getting a workout this year. His leg might fall off with the canadian offense.

Like some have pointed out here, a better offense would keep our defense off the field longer and more rested.

What we saw in the first game on defense was WAY better than the last two games. The Watt factor.

Bottom line IMO, if Watt was not injured and Pickett was starter, I think we would probably be 3-0.

Smashmouth power football, like any other strategy, works if you have the players that can pull it off.

Agreed, Cleveland could run their very good RB tandem of Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb behind that potent offensive line that they have. Our front seven got taken to pound town last night.

Well the problem is Mitch is getting 7 mil this year. That's an expensive back up QB if they replace him with Pickett. Then again we won't know until it happens if it even does.

We heard a lot of negativity, still do about Ben but n

I would have given him another year or two with Pickett behind him.
Why n the world would you put a player that has zero NFL experience at center in front of your HOF QB? Unless you just want to force him out?
An aged slower HOF’er is still a HOF Er and got there doing things that others cannot do. Now, the search begins to somehow, someway, replace that.

The second point of the list that @blackandgoldpatrol complied is essentially... more or less of what many of us have been saying since Week 1. For that matter, until Canada and Trubisky can begin attacking both the middle and deep MOF, expect more of the same. If anything..., @S.T.D ....

Kelee Ringo sounds like quite the option as a Cornerback eh?! He would be much better than anything the team has currently.

It's pretty obvious no one on this team can coach a QB up.
Wonder what Andy Reid would do with Trib?
