Not the D we saw last week, different team but a total blowout for us. Longest completed 27 yards. I thought that was over when Ben retired. Receivers cooling back for the ball, 3 and 10 and we barely get over the scrimmage line for 2 yards. Harris sure does fool a lot of defenders with that studded step. We are in for a long season if we don’t make big changes.

The turn over on the kick off killed us but Trubisky just couldn’t get it done.

Hey Tomlin, you do know that Ken Whisenhunt is right near you? ... at Penn St.

 

You have to wonder where the wins are going to come from with this offence and a now average defence without Watt. They will be dogs in most games.

I know Tomlin has always found a way to be competitive but this is a bad team right now, particularly on offence. Maybe Pickett can come in and give them a spark at some point but it’s hard to feel good about the rest of the season.

 

Entered my mind and IMO he is a HUGE HUGE difference maker in games. IMO the defense was solid in his absence. Seemed Witherspoon got his ass handed to him today.

That’s an interesting stat. Not shocking but informative. They miss him when he comes out for one play so missing entire games isn’t going to be pretty
