Baked Zucchini casserole. Has grated zucchini, egg whites, parmesan cheese, mushrooms, a bit of horseradish mustard. Must use up zucchinis so they do not overrun the world. Drinking Diet Dr. Pepper and maybe some amaretto coffee. I am ovo-lacto vegetarian and seldom drink alcohol, so my place would be boring for most of you guys, I’m afraid.

 

If I wasn't working tonight and tomorrow, I'd be cracking open the Capt Morgan bout 0930

 

Chase down something that could Burrow and be Mixon with beans and rice.

 

Baked wings with my own sauce mixture. (Bullseye BBQ, Honey, and Cluck wing sauce)

Washing it down with Moosehead East Coast IPA

 

Beer, Punk IPA and this microbrew I have been hoarding called Shiny Flying Elephant. Have some bison burgers but likely going to be hot dogs instead. I do like all the Kung Pao talk earlier.

They have just opened a Jersey Mikes in my area but I won't be motivated enough to go get one for this week's game.

Highly recommend this book - Food Americana by David Page- to get you in a proper pregame meal mood. Has a chapter on wings and on Chinese food.

 

Update- my (non Steelers fan) brother has come through with this , which should make the hot dogs more interesting

Starting things off with a breakfast burrito, then some ham and bean soup with street corn on the cob.

 

If we are talking screwdriver or Bloody Mary 10 am is already a few hours late

 

12 boom boom chicken wings. 6 each for wife and I. 2 fish baskets from a bar named Underdogs on paxtang St. in Harrisburg. Top notch bar food and football food!

 

This is delicious, but why ruin it with any kind of mustard. I love mustard, but not on this.

 

Just a little horseradish mustard mixed in to give it a little bite, maybe a spoonful mixed in the whole casserole dish. I have made it without it as well.

 

Turkey and Swiss, fully dressed. Chips on the side. Ice water.

I know it’s lame, but I’m doing drive-bys while knocking out housework on my only day off.
