Hey, if you are wondering how Marcus did this preseason.

Mariota was the starting QB for Atlanta in the first 2 preseason games. Started the first 2 games for Atlanta and finished the preseason with a QBR of 137.5. No reason for him to play in the 3rd game as he was dominate in preseason.

I'm sticking with Pickett. Of all the passes NFL QBs make or should make for me its that mid level pass over the LBs and before the safeties. If a QB can read that and make that pass, also has to have a good arm, then I know that guy can play. Kenny makes that throw better than most NFL QBs on the field. Call me crazy but if you would have put him in place of Burrow at LSU he would of been hands down the first player taken in this years draft.

 

I know a big Saints fan that so badly wants to believe that Pickett is a bust since they passed on him. In my opinion it's already decided: he's the real deal and will do well if we have all the other pieces and not so well if the rest of our team is a problem. Pretty awesome that we have our future QB, RB and great young receivers and can no beef up the o-line and feel some defensive holes this coming offseason and next years draft.

Marcus didn't play today because they wanted ridder to play the entire game to see how he would do. And he resulted in two interceptions and relying on the RB formation to move the ball.

As for Marcus, he did great. But he also only played a drive in each game. Nothing impressive at all. Furthermore jets last week didn't play a single starter, while the failclowns started everyone with Marcus.

So i don't mean this rude. But you are hyping someone up only because of qbr off of a few drives and not looking at the entire picture.

 

I'm friends with a lot of steelers. They all like pickett. However they're very happy with the line.

Also Winston is not bad at all for them. They were legit with him last year before the injury. So I understand why they passed on pickett.

 

So you believe Mitch was the better choice even though he has struggled all the way through training camp, being out played in camp by both Mason and Pickett, and has yet to be announced as the Week 1 starter?

I know. Mariota In limited action his 1st team unit has scored every time he had the ball.

Game 1: 1 series for a TD

Game 2: it was a FG in the 1st drive and a TD in the second drive.

I am assuming this is what you expect to see out of your starting QB in preseason.

 

So again
Game 2: jets had no starters in.

Also ridder isn't anything compared to pickett or rudolph. So obliviously marcus will be the failclowns #1 with barely trying.

And I do like marcus similar to mitch. However mitch is a better scrambler.

 

Also Marcus hasn't done anything to be awarded. At least mitch hit the pro bowl in 2018

 

I think the book on how to beat Mitch was written and passed around by many teams.


I predict that if Mason is still on payroll; by the end of the year Mitch will be our inactive 3rd string QB.

 

Mitch played his entire time until going to the bills for one year, then he was a backup to a dang great QB.

Marcus was benched while playing for the titans four Ryan tannehill...... I'll say it again, Ryan freaking tannehill. And Ryan had a pro bowl level in 2019. So clearly Marcus was a huge weak link to them. And then he served as a backup to Derek carr.

Mitch has a pro bowl. Marcus does not have anything except his college and injuries.

 

Marcus would be our #4.

Mitch had a pro bowl in 2019. Then 2020 happened. Then he went to play behind someone.

Marcus was benched in 2019-2021. And has no pro bowls..... how do you think Marcus has anything to warrant he is even good? A single Game of a preseason? Because game 2 wasn't even a single starter against him.

I'd take Mariota over Rudolph. He might turn out to be a better option than Trubisky, but he has had so much trouble staying healthy.

 

IMO....I seen enough of Marcus....I believe He is physically gifted, but like a lot of physically gifted Qbs it never goes beyond that...because before playing in the NFL that was enough, and that's along time from grade school 2 the NFL 2 be doing something, and then all of a sudden....You have 2 actually play from the pocket, see keys, make quick accurate decisions besides just taking off ,and running. JMO

 

You know Steeler fans that are all happy with the line? I guess they don't know a flip about football.

That's way to much of having similar players. With the edge going to trubisky for three win anyhow. But if Marcus wanted to sign for a million, than that would be fine.
