Have to disagree here. My lazy butt is sitting on my couch right now after making peanuts for a 10 hour shift today. He got called up by the Steelers and has a chance to show the organization something. Sometimes a chance it all it takes. Meanwhile I will be back up at 4:15 am and hard at it again to get another bag of peanuts.

My only hope to get out of this funk is I bought a Mega Millions ticket that could be worth 555 Million Dollars. I'd say what's his name has better odds than I do to become wealthy at this particular moment.

 

we knew some guys from the USFL were going to get a shot at the NFL again. my concern with them is how much football can these guys make it through. they practiced and had what like 10 games in the USFL and now are going to training camp, preseason and a full season of NFL football plus if lucky playoffs. that's a lot of wear and tear. i'm not saying costin will or won't make it or any of the others but if they do and especialy if they do and take on any type of role on a team, that is a ton of abuse on a body. how long can they hold up?

Maybe he was the best they saw to add as 90th. But looks like we already have a stacked DL as far who will make it..Likely 7. Yes injuries happen, but for depth and looking at those options ate there not other positions lacking? Namely RB, ILB, and S?

 

Hell I just wantvto make it on the field and injure myself (note..trip over something) and try for that injury settlement release...a few Primanti meals would hit the spot thank you

 

Although I agree....The Steelers aren't stupid.
So .....if one of these types of players make it....all of that will, and should be accepted, and accounted for.....

 

Months ago I heard a radio show where they were describing just how physically hard it is on these guys, especially those who were PS in the NFL.
The one guy he referenced was a RB, but as a PS guy he was responsible to prepare the team for next week's game. He would line up in various positions including g Dline. Not saying you take full tilt hits, but your body still takes a beating. Then a season of spring football. So these guys bodies have really never recovered.
