That didn’t take long. Just read an article talking about the possibility of picking him up.

Very interesting. He’s a high potential guy who hasn’t panned out. It will be interesting to see if there’s a legit WR hidden in there somewhere. Maybe catching passes from a non-running back will help.

Hopefully his injuries are a thing of the past and he can resurrect his career here. True to form KC is filling holes to prevent the necessity of reaching for a player.

I liked him at ND and thought the Steelers might be interested in the big guy..... , but never followed his Ratbirds career..... not much to see here.

Man, I really wanted Boykin in the draft, so I'm kinda pumped ... I'm concerned about his lack of development thus far though.

Maybe a change of scenery will help.

I was going to say "sign everyone" but I guess the front office beat me to the punch

I think the bigger issue is..... by filling an obvious need at WR..... does the FO think that adding camp fodder players will justify them taking a QB in the 1st?

You know what's funny, anymore that's a best case scenario for me, getting Willis.

I know they're gonna screw this up. They did the perfect thing in Mitch. Let him and the the golden noodle fight it out for a season and see what happens.

If a guy catches fire, extend him and go for it. If they stink up the place, 2023 draft has the makings of '83.They played it just right.

But, everyone on this MB knows they're gonna screw it up. What a shame.

    Not shocked.

As I have been on record many times in stating; the Steelers FO will have greater interest in players that they have had contact beforehand. For Boykin's sake, both Tomlin and Colbert visited him at Notre Dame's Pro Day way back in 2019. Not surprising he was such a quick pick up by the team.

The question is.... how effective will he be in separation?! He has the speed and athletic abilities to do it... but has never done such in Baltimore on a consistent basis; injury or otherwise.

The only way the Steelers can screw this up is by trading "Heaven & Earth". Some believe they will while others believe they stand pat. Truth be told... it depends on the board though I would imagine that the team will draft whomever is available depending on how the board goes.

Now, a trade up is possible... but who knows who that "tag partner" is?

Boykin is a ht/wt speed guy, but he has been a disappointment in the NFL.

That’s why I laugh when people get all riled up about our roster. It’s still a work in progress.

Almost started a thread saying we should get him but didn't want it to sound like a "sign everyone" thread. Like it. Worth a shot.

I wonder if they will draft two receivers, or hope that Boykin and Anthony Miller can become legit players for them.

I bet M. Boykin is thinking the same thing.

I like this, ideally he will be the 4/5 WR on the depth chart and is a good ST player by all accounts.

I still hope they take a WR on day two, maybe even day one if the right guy falls to them.

They will surely sign a safety before the draft as well
