I am going to try the free trial at Youtube TV. Something else DTV has done to me every single time a tech has to come out is to upgrade me to Premier protection without me even asking, then I get an email the next day saying I signed off on the paperwork and agreed to it. I call each time, tell them I never agreed to that, and that there was no paperwork and they take it off my bill. Scummy scam that I'm sure even customer service is aware of. Only thing holding me with DTV is that I don't know if my surround sound will work with You Tube TV.

They have all kinds of hidden fees. And yes, your surround will work with YouTubetv. On my case, everything goes into my reciever first then out to the TV so it doesn't matter if it's a conventional cable company or Fire stick, Chromecast etc.

I've got a Denon Receiver and a firestick that I use for ESPN+ so it sounds like it will be fine. Can't hurt to do the free trial.

Yes you can. The dvr with YouTube is better in my opinion. Ive had both and the youtube tech is much better as youd expect with google compared to directv

Yes, all you need is a Firestick! It is a month to month service, so your getting tons of channels along with all NFL and every other sports games. The games are in HD, and yes its a legal service.

If your phone had good enough data, you could download the app and then screen mirror it to a TV.

Yes. You would have to have a pretty good connection, like 5G and unlimited data or else you would eat up your data pretty quickly. You also have to have a t.v. that is capable of doing screen mirroring.

I’ve been following all of this tech idea stuff solely to try to get one game while I’m away at the beach the other is on national tv

After reviewing all of the options I’ve decided it’s going to be easier to go to a sports bar

I’m going to miss two in September as well good news they will be on national tv bad news they will start at 2:15 am where I will be and I’m too old for that

Can you watch different YouTube TV on different devices at the same time? Meaning can I watch 3 different football games that are on at the same time using my TV, Ipad and Iphone? Or do you have to watch one channel only if you are using different devices at the same time?

That's a good question and one I don't have the answer to right now because I haven't tried it. I presume so but not sure how many at one time.

If its on cbs/fox/nbc/espn you can watch different games at the same time on multiple devices without nfl ticket.

For NFL ticket YouTube lists this
"There’s no limit to the number of streams you get while watching NFL Sunday Ticket at your home. For example, you can tune in on your living room TV, while a family member watches on their tablet from a different room, and another member watches at the same time on their phone.

Outside your home, you can watch on up to two separate streams.

There's no limit to the number of devices you can use to log in."

Thanks. I may give it a try. I did notice that you cant set the DVR to only record "New" episodes when you record a series, so that's kind of a mess. You get every recording new or old.

Actually, it can. You can watch through the app on your phone and screen mirror it to a TV. Not ideal and takes a crap ton of data, but can be done.

For those who pay for YouTubeTV through 3rd party billing (I pay through my fiber provider), you May finally be able to buy Sunday Ticket. I bought it today, and they honored the $100 off promo that had expired in June.

YouTube announced the will do a monthly payment plan option today so ppl living paycheck to paycheck don't have to come up with 300 bucks at one time. Which would be great if the state I live in allowed it which it doesn't. I swear this type of thing could give a guy a complex

I read somewhere....I was just looking for it....that they are doing this because they don't have half the people signed up for it as was last year. I don't know how true that is, and I'm still looking for where I read that.

No clue but it was funny looking at the list of states where monthly package deals weren't allowed.
