I meant 2nd best HC in the NFL right now. But based on your reactions and defense of him perhaps you do think 2nd best of all time :lolol:

Im just busting chops STD but we are so polar opposite on him this is pointless. Hopefully he can get the franchise another playoff win in the next 5 years.

At the end of the day I judge a coach and team on playoff success. Of course it’s not 100% on Tomlin but he is the HC. The owners are not firing themselves so where does the buck stop for this pathetic 12 year stretch?

You are happy with non losing seasons. To each their own keep enjoying whatever this is and I’ll keep reminding you each year as the non playoff streak continues.

I truly cannot understand how you don't get this but nobody is happy with this playoff drought. Everyone shares your frustration in that regard but here's the difference, it's not an exaggeration to say that you almost never have anything positive to say about any aspect of this team. It literally always come back to the whole 3 in 12 thing with you. Doesn't it just hurt your soul, holding on to that negative energy for so long?

Of course, I'm not happy about the lack of playoff success lately, I expect them to get over the hump this season .

The direction of this organization and HC certainly hurts my soul. One of the few things the two of us will ever agree on.

I will admit I’m a half empty kind of guy but it doesn’t change the fact this team has been a tremendous disappointment the last decade in regards to the playoffs.

I agree that their lack of post season success has been disappointing but if you're not at least willing to acknowledge the direction the team is trying to go and the moves they're trying to make to do so, what's the point? While not one single person on this board is happy about them keeping Canada, it's hard not to be at least mildly excited about the roster moves. At least it doesn't appear they're sitting on their hands in that department.

I am excited to see what this team can become I loved the draft and certainly think the arrow is pointing up. The coaching is my biggest issue just have to hope they can win in spite of it.

I think the roster now has enough talent that I believe they have the ingredients to build a championship-level team. It all starts with Pickett developing and improving this season, and the young talent of the last couple drafts developing and reaching their potential. I think this team is going to continue to improve and be a team with a chance to do damage in the playoffs.

I think they are now set up and enough talent is there on the roster to start competing for championships. It's early, they may not be ready to win it all right now, but I believe they have the pieces in place to compete for Super Bowls. It is now up to coach Tomlin and the coaching staff to get the most out of these players.

I see them being a very good team next season with another offseason to sign free agents and a strong draft. This team needs to take the first few steps this year and start to come together. After that, there are no excuses. The talent is there. The ingredients are there. Now it's time to get them all to come together.

IMO, this team has enough to start winning enough now, and be a perennial contender next year and beyond.

I believe in coach Tomlin, but it's time for him to actually do it. There won't be any more excuses after this season. It's all right there in front of him. They just need to get it done.

I tend to agree with this. The Steelers need to have the "Mahomes/Kelce, Burrows/Chase, LJ/Andrews" type duo to take that next step offensively. I also agree the weapons are there and it's up to KP to develop that connection. The training wheels must come off this season for the offense.

I hate that the secondary and ILBs are such an unknown for us right now. I absolutely love the DL and OLBs. How the guys come together and play behind them is the 'to be determined' part of this defense. As I posted before I honestly think they could be a top5 defense. I also realize they could be a bottom5 defense if the back half struggles.

The players have to go out and win games. The coaches can only do what they can with what they have to work with. The more the players are able to do, the more the coaches can open things up. It's never the other way around.

11-6 would definitely make the playoffs. The Dolphins got in at 9-8 last year.
