Your favorite Steelers vs. Ravens moment

    So I posted this thread with an article where Ben and some others reminisce about one of the Steelers/Ravens rivalry moments that they remember:

    It got me thinking about some of my favorite Steelers/Ravens moments.

    Off the top of my head, I'd have to say the December 2008 game in Baltimore is one of my favorite rivalry moments.

    It was a tough game, without much scoring, and in the third quarter the Ravens were up 9-6. It stayed like that up until about 3 1/2 minutes to go in the fourth. The Steelers drove down toward the goal line and Ben connected with Santonio with 43 seconds to go for a touchdown, resulting an a 13-9 win after the PAT. It was even more exciting because there was a review on the touchdown with speculation about whether or not the ball was over the line. The TD call stood, and that was that.

    I like the wins that involve a controversial call, like the Holmes td. Because I know that's going to hurt the Ravens fans even more.

    Definitely ranks up there. I was listening to it on the radio, and it was just hearing the disbelief in the broadcaster's voice when it happened.

    The best day of my football life was January 15th, 2011.

    I had been to Pittsburgh one other time for a game, in the inaugural season of Heinz Field. My dad and I run a fantasy football team together and won our championship and won about $400, and decided to spend ALL of it, plus about $200 more dollars to get tickets to the Steelers/Ravens playoff game.

    My stomach sank after this play. I thought to myself, I'm finally here, we can't lose on some stupid technicality like this.

    The Antonio Brown helmet catch was incredible. But...




    But my memory from that game was when they played Renegade and played the video with it and the stadium just went insane. I've lived in Cincinnati my entire life and never seen atmosphere like that. For the rest of the game, every defensive series it was so loud that it felt like the stadium was shaking.

    The Ravens practically didn't move the ball for an entire half. The Steelers defense DOMINATED the game from the time Renegade played, until the final whistle. There are people, especially some of the Pittsburgh twitter guys that groan about Renegade, but I will argue with anyone that song along with that crowd won that playoff game. Period.

    Guess what song my wife and I were announced to, at my wedding last May? :)
