List your favorite Steeler season. Mine would have to be 2008.

    Went 12-4
    Had # 1 defense
    Swept the division
Beat Flacco and hairball 3 times
    beat the cowgirls
    killed the patriots at Gillette
    won # 6 in a crazy fashion

To me that was a dream season that I got to live.

    1976 was my favorite season.
10-4 and did not win the Super Bowl, but showed what a true champion is all about.

1979 and 1980 are distant memories but made me a Steelers fan.

My most memorable would have to be be 2005. Losing at home to Cincy, feeling like the season was lost, then going on a four-game winning streak to finish the regular season highlighted by Bettis trucking Urlacher. The home game against Detroit with the fans serenading Bettis pleading for one more year.

Then, that postseason run was insane. Winning at Cincy to avenge that earlier home loss that ultimately cost us the division, winning at Indy (in a game nobody gave us a chance), smoking Denver at their place and then beating Seattle behind Fast Willie and Randle-El to Hines.

Broke a twenty-five year title drought and, after so many near misses the previous decade-plus, really got a huge monkey off our backs.

If I had to pick, I'd probably say 74 just because it was the 1st Steelers Superbowl. I'd say 2008 after that.

    Last year.

Overcoming so much just to make it to the playoffs and almost beating the eventual super bowl Champs.

Not the same as 76... but still shows how well the team and organization was structured. Other organizations may have fallen flat on their face after losing so much.

1995 season. Despite the Super Bowl loss, it was one of my earliest memories of the Steelers and holds a special place with me forever.

1972! Immaculate Reception, beating the Raiders! It's when I became a Steelers fan! Sure, we lost to the Dolphins but, still..............

1979 when they beat the Rams 31-19 in Superbowl XIV. I can still hear all of the car horns blowing all night long throughout Pittsburgh! Just such a dynamic team with the chemistry.

2008 Defense was fun to watch

2005.... What more can be said about that year? Amazing run, some lows and the ultimate high.

2014, we saw a great offense come together all at once, was awesome to see the potential come together.

2015, wild set of circumstances and a lot of adversity overcome.

But I'd probably say 2004, Ben's rookie year, because that's the year I became a fan.

1994 was a good year, it is the year they lost to San Diego, but I think it was the Blitzburgh defense's most exciting year. They got after the QB in a big way, and you had a play making secondary as well.

3 Rivers went crazy for every game, and Cowher would get jacked on the sidelines, miss those days!

My favorite season is always the next one. Although, I've been spoiled. I was born in 1989 so I haven't had to endure too many tough years as a steelers fan. I clearly remember the 93-94 season, and have been a fan ever since!

Maybe my tune will change when we inevitably have some down years... But until then, the next season is always the most exciting! Let's go get number 7

I think it has to be 2008 season for me. Was there for quite a few regular season games. Was also there for the divisional and championship games.
Also liked our 2004 Season, going 15-1 is no easy task, even with a good team and a rookie QB.
2005 was great for the 2nd half of the year, when we went on the run and won it all.

Seasons I usually like to forget include. The years 1997-2000.

2008 was the best in my opinion. The first 3 playoff games in '05... vs. Bengals, Colts and Broncos were incredible. Super Bowl XL was boring except for 3 plays and the Ike INT at the end... but very thankful for the win.

1994, 1995, 1997, 2001, 2004 and 2010 were also great seasons even though they fell short.

I'm old enough to remember the improbable runs in '84 and '89. Those teams OVERachieved.

Gotta go with the few that pointed out 2004 - especially the mid-season back to back W's vs Brady/NE and the Eagles - for what it's worth - at the time it set a record for one team to beat two undefeated teams back to back that late in the season. We got to see BB emerge swiftly as a super talent.

Only season that is never my favorite is any containing the word "Pre".
