This fool coach of ours finally realizes you have to play out of a 5 receiver set to play the ravens?

Actually I think using it sparingly got them off their game at the end trying to defend it.

Looked like they had gotten into a rhythm defending the offense and when they went 5 wide no-huddle, confusion was happening in the secondary.

They were not ready to defend it when they went to it and it showed. Would I have liked to see them go to it earlier and maybe not have a close game going down the stretch? Hell yeah, but this is a dagger driven into them at the end of their season.

Almost waited too long again against the Ravens. Is it too much pride that the coaching staff wants to stick with their game plan?

Bell averaged 6.1 ypc. That seems to indicate to me that the Ravens can be beaten with Bell in the backfield and we do not need to go to a 5 wide set. Besides, winning in the NFL is about running various plays through various formations. Do the same things over and over and you'll lose more games than you win.

Wouldn't even say it's the 5 WR set that got us going. I think we really started rolling when they let Ben get into his up tempo offense. We always seem to get back into the game when Haley lets Ben do his thing, but sometimes, it's too late. Thank good ole Saint Nick it wasn't too late today.

It was the running game that got the rally started early in the fourth quarter, not the pass, though the switch to a more up-tempo game helped.

We just sent the Ravens home and this is what you come up with?

The Ravens had something to do with that. Prevent defense prevents you from winning ..

When the chips was on the line, the Ravens defense choked just like ours choked. A lot of points was scored in the 4th quarter...

The Ravens were bringing five on most downs, and their DBS seemed very close to be in prevent.

I was watching through my shaking fingers though, so couldn't be sure.

I am not a big fan of 5 WR sets (unless one of them is Bell and you bring him in motion to the backfield like we did a few times yesterday). When you play out of a true 5 WR set with a non-running QB, you eliminate the defense's initial run/pass read. Ok on 3rd and long, but not my favorite look on 2nd and 7 (or the Arians special - 3rd and 1).
