thats is and has been my biggest issue with Arians. he knows the oline is bad and Ben is lucky if he gets 3 to make up his mind on who to throw to. why keep sending wrs out on routes that take 10 seconds?

"I guess brains are not a requirement for this board" . Close enough junior. And not the kinds of comments that are going to endear you to the MB faithful here. But apparently thats your schtick that you're going for.

Nj43, telling fans to keep their trap shut will never work out good for you. With that said, welcome to the board. I hope to see some good posts from you.

Well then unless you have been the President of the USA or a member of Congress you had better never criticize the way this country is run because you have never been in their shoes. I feel no anger against BA the person. I truly believe he did the best he could. And that is why he had to go.

Don't worry, I ain't offended. We all want the same result at the end of the day

Well thats because its not OUR job. Our job is to be fans... love our team when they are up, kick them when they are down... as bad as it sounds its what fans do. If you go to your local burger joint and place a specific order, and you get your burger and it has a bunch of stuff on it you specifically told them you didnt want, do you say well I couldn't make a better burger so Ill just eat it and not complain?

I maybe not be a OC but its not rocket science to see certain things. For example, that when your running game is working, that you continue to....run. When your passing game is working, you continue to pass. Or if they adjust to both, you mix it up. And BA failed at all of that.

Let's not feed the trolls folks. With the great moderation we have here I don't think they will be here long anyways. ;)

3rd and 1... got a great idea... 5 wide, empty backfield. Run it!

    That took 4 seconds.

It would be interesting to see some of the critics call in NFL game. In any event, it's will only be a matter of time before fire the OC tribe calls for a new OC. The next OC's job will probably come into question right after the first play call the tribe disagrees with.

The Steelers were not the only team. The Pats, Saints, Packers, and other offenses went 5 wide in similar circumstances. Sometimes teams had success and sometimes they did not. Steelers also had success and failed to get first downs in other formations on 3rd and 1.

Uhhh... wouldn't it make more sense to line up in a formation that allows a run (by someone other than your starting QB who gets hammered a few times a game) as well as a pass?

This is a forum for Steeler fans. And all Steeler fans are welcome and should be treated respectfully. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Everyone else is entitled to disagree with that opinion.

"Monday morning QBing" is a time honored tradition with sports fans.

There's no call for trading insults. I'm not pointing fingers. Arguing is ok. But let's treat each other like the family we are. :)

    Carry on.

This is true. And I get your point.

However...just because I have never published a book doesn't mean I don't know trash (Snooki's book) compared to good literature.

I know this will just be laughed at but here are some examples of why some people on the board do know what they are talking about.
    1. Some people, specifically PWP, seems to have coached at least on a highschool level. I'm sure others have at least played football or other fast paced sports at some point of their lives on a team. Having 40 seconds to pick a play isn't that big of a deal.

    2. Madden - yup I said it. I'm not going to say its the end all be all however you are saying given an NFL situation (which Madden could do) we wouldn't be able to make up our mind on which play to pick. Believe it or not there are madden players who pick the right formations and plays for the situation. It also allows you to be the QB in the sense to aubile and change hot routes for your receivers. You have the same amount of time to pick a play in Madden as you do on the field, Sometimes less in madden because they actually shorten the length of the game.

Am I saying playing Madden is 100% like the NFL, nope. However its a simulation trying to emulate the NFL. You do run into situations that are similar. To say that 0% (nobody) here would be capable of looking at a playsheet and picking a play within 40 seconds is flat out ignorant.

Believe it or not I was once a genius OC back in the 70's when they had the vibrating field that the players would move on. Then again, I wasn't afraid to run the ball!

You didn't have any choice. Did you ever try to pass or kick that little tiny felt ball. That was pure hell ! :lolol:
