He really must not have cared one IOTA about winning today.

it is 2024 - when you are down 14 points, at the 50 and you have not had but 2 possessions (maybe this was their 3rd?) in the 2nd half, YOU KEEP THE BALL and TAKE YOUR CHANCES - you go for it and don't punt. the D had been pushed around all day long.

I had us losing today, so I am not too bothered, but this is why remain 2nd class, in the 2nd tier - not the elite discussion, nor should we be.

We lose too much over the years b/c of coaching.

I won't even talk much about the sleep walk offense approach in the first Q, just like last weeks first Q. Way too much of it......

Yes - we miss Pickens........but get creative, fella's, you had all week and this was the first Q you cooked up? Let's run Najee up the back's of our OL for a while.....

 

I think Tomlin told NH to look ahead before catching the toss. Total game changer at that point in the game.

And it was an excellent punt if the defense showed up life would have been different

Personally with my play to win attitude I would have gone for it

Who cares about the lynch mob. The right call for the team was for Tomlin to go for it.
I swear, Tomlin does completely random **** sometimes. Like he doesn't make any sense. There's no logic to some of his decisions.

Anyway, I try not to talk about Tomlin much these days because I completely raged out after the Cowboys loss. I'll give Tomlin credit though, he is able to fool a lot of people into thinking he's some great coach.

 

Sorry, but I disagree. It's simply not a good call, and it's not even close. I don't care if there would have been a lynch mob, and disagree that most people would complain if they didn't convert. Even without factoring in that the defense had been on the field way too much it was wrong.

I did, I am not sure that was even 'called' - we have beat that one to DEATH - I start a thread too on that that I loved it, but Danny Smith has coached them that when they see 'this look', you throw it, you fake it.

Yea I mean you can’t play this way in the playoffs against teams like Buffalo, Kansas City and even the Ravens and expect to win. You gotta be aggressive and take chances. It was inexcusable for Tomlin to punt their on 4th down and 7 at midfield down 14 with 10 minutes left.
