It's hard not to be. It's like groundhog day. We keep going through the same crap season after season.

 

You have every right to be uninterested. The players clearly are.

 

This team is lacking leadership.

 

The penalties is what is killing me right now. Discipline comes from coaching.

 

The team has capitulated, there is plenty of blame to go around and Tomlin deserves his share but we must acknowledge that he doesn’t have a credible QB and the defence is hexed with injuries.

There are structural issues with this team that must be addressed including how they put together the coaching staff.

I can’t see a world in 2024 where MT is not the Steelers HC but I’m hoping that this late season meltdown brings about a change of approach. For the first time since I started following the team a long time ago the coach and owners are both under pressure.

 

QB is an issue, but same problem with multiple QB’s over the past few years.
I can see a world where I don’t waste my time watching this weak ass B.S.

Today turned out much like I expected. I knew they’d be soundly beaten because Trubisky cannot manage an NFL offence, he is too error prone. I still watched the game and will continue to watch as I am sure you will in the end, but yes, it’s hard to watch at this point.

 

This is the most heartless steelers team I've ever witnessed. Bunch of whiny, selfish players who don't give a **** and a coach who has lost the team and fanbase.

 

I’ll watch for now, but my patience has run out.

 

When they’re all terrible

 

This is where I'm at. I don't discount that they've have a lot of injuries to the middle of the defense and the QB play has been subpar despite the OC, but Tomlin has presided over this offense becoming what it is the past few years - bad playbook, bad blocking scheme, poor development of fundamentals - such that removing Canada alone midseason is not only ineffective on its face, but fails to address the rest of the parts that have rotted over Canada's time overseeing the offense. The HC bears the responsibility for things like that.

 

And throwing Mason in with ~two minutes left was a JV move. When faced with questions about it prior to the game he sticks with Mitch, but in less than garbage time you make a change?

If I were Mason I'd be pissed at that.

 

If I were going to the game next week I would seriously consider wearing a bag over my head. It’s that bad!

The most unusual move I have ever seen Tomlin do is use timeouts even though the game was over in the end. My initial thought was "really"? That though changed into "Tomlin..... don't be that guy. Thought you were better than that. Guess not."


Guess I was wrong. I had longed joined this thought process after the loss to Arizona. Now?! Just speed run the effing season done so Draft Season can roll around. Never mind the draft.


Next OC BETTER HAVE two distinctive benefits;

1.) Hired from outside the Org.; something extremely likely at this point.


2.) OC has 100% autonomy of not just how the Offense is run but what personnel is going to be used. If that means removing positional coaches who do not fit the philosophy?! So be it.

Losing doesn’t bother me that much. sloppy, undisciplined, uninspired, poorly coached football does.
