I guess the NFL will demand that the next celebration they all sit on the ground and play patty cake with each other or bring out a bunch of snowflake props and ride around on unicorns. What a joke society is becoming.

This is dumb and ultra sensitive and making connections that aren’t there.

Just go back to no celebrations then. All this does is open a can of worms.

I’m going to guess it had more to do with 13 players being in the field when they did it. When players come off the bench for a choreographed celebration it typically gets fined, and it should.

Don’t buy that. Why would they all get fined and not just the players that came off the bench.

Yeah, okay. I'm sure that $13,621 means as much to Watt and his $15MM base as it does Wallace and his $1.035MM.

I'm old enough to remember when they just shook hands after a TD.

Its the optics and the time we live in. Just like doing the throat slash was outlawed. I'm sure this will be added if not already.

Doesn't bother me but again the optics.

I could do without the antics of the celebrations. Most are just dumb. Nothing to do with football. I would welcome the end of the celebrations. Just go back to the spike. That's the ultimate FU as far as i'm concerned after a TD.

But the NFL is more than a game now. It's show business. Drama. Its 24-7 365 days a year. It's all about the Cha-Ching.

I understand the spontaneous celebrations, but these guys all running to the end zone is a little silly to me.

I thought it was humorous. Although the fine is petty, it was worth it.

I was happy and surprised no flag was thrown at the time it happened.

I`ll be much happier and more surprised if we are 7-7 a couple weeks from now.

Not for all the excessive celebrations....If you catch a TD and celebrate with a couple guys on the field ok, I'm good with that..But the whole team running around like they just won the SB for every pick or forced fumble or TD scored..

The group endzone turnover celebrations are beyond silly in my opinion.

I keep telling my 15 year old that the best celebration is just handing the ball gracefully back to the ref and then lining up for the next series. Too bad that narcissism has completely taken over society and everyone is looking to get the 15 seconds of fame. It really cracks me up when a defense is down by 2 or 3 scores and then gets a turnover and has to go into a choreographed participation routine to grab the spot light.

    I really miss Barry Sanders.

Article says it’s ok to do that in their bench area, but in the EZ the league can decide its excessive.

I do think that random bench players coming onto field to celebrate is excessive,

there was some dumbass (not Steelers) a couple of weeks ago, ran from the bench to celebrate after an INT but play wasn’t over and even helped a bit blocking on run back.

They need to act like they've done things before. These are not roll models except those wanting to be clowns. JMO>

It would be cool if the go-to "in your face" celebration was to do nothing special. I would root for a team that adopted that policy.

Because, by rule, you cannot have pre-planned choreographed celebrations. However, they normally will look away as long as it doesn’t carry on for an unreasonable amount of time. Bringing players off the bench kind of draws attention to it.

It is because where is the line drawn? 15? 20? 50?

Do you mean "how many players are allowed to join the celebration"? if so, it's simple: do not allow any player come off the bench to join a stupid dance celebration in the EZ - limit on field celebration to the 11 on the field.

    What?

Why would we want more players on the field?
