What about our last set of downs before punting it back. I still am not sold on Conner as our starter. Our O-Line makes him look good through the game, but needing two yards and running into the backs of your line 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage was a poor run IMO. It just seemed he may have had room to bounced to the outside and would have made the first down to basically end the game. Then we could have started kneeling on it.

Ah ha, I see my memory was wrong:smiley1: So then putting time back on the clock was just discussed because of an injury in the last two minutes?

If Minkah doesn't make the play it still isn't guarantee that the pass is caught for a TD.

I honestly don't think Jackson is a legit NFL QB and I have been saying that since he came in the league.

I just watched it again and there was indeed a play run with Hayward down behind the line of scrimmage. The spike at 8 seconds was done while Hayward was injured.

You better watch it again. The whistles blew before he spiked the ball. There wasn't a play ran with Heyward lying on the field behind the line of scrimmage.

No guarantee but even with the play Minkah made, the ball still hit the receiver in the hands.

Actually you better watch it again:cool: The long past gave them a First and Ten with 17 seconds left on the clock they ran up and spiked the ball with 8 seconds left giving them a second in 10. They apparently later negated that play and made it second and ten again, but there was in fact a play run while Hayward was down.

That's not what I saw. The refs blew the play you are speaking of dead just before the Ravens snapped the ball.

The refs will not stop the clock for an injured player until they spot the injured player down on the field. As soon as the ref spotted Cam down, he blew the whistle. The whistle and the snap of the ball happened almost simultaneously. So there was no additional seconds to be added to the clock.

I guess it's actually semantics at this point. I watched it a number of times I never heard a whistle until the ball was spiked. But everybody was screaming and yelling over top of each other:smiley1:

Nope. With 8 seconds left it was first and 10. The next play, which was the second to last play of the game was still 1 and 10, an incomplete pass to Miller(?). The last play of the game was 2nd and 10, the pass broken up by Minkah. If you're only watching the highlights I can understand why your getting confused.

Too inconsistent throwing the ball. He may improve but, until he does they will have a very difficult time beating the NFL elite.

Isn’t that as empty as being the “best” Browns QB of the decade?

Watch again and check out the official the furthest behind the play. He looked back towards Heyward, and was in the process of blowing the play dead as the ball was snapped. It’s obviously very close, split second close, but I think they got it right.

I don't care if they screwed it up. The refs were horrible and remain horrible game in and game out. Nothing ever seems to be done about it anyways. Personally, I think they should have added time but glad they didn't. The idiot men in stripes already hosed us with the Minkah PF roughing penalty in the first quarter that changed the game from the onset. They just screwed up the game from beginning to end like they do nearly every game in the NFL. We benefitted this time. Big deal. Next time it probably won't be as rewarding. It's actually a shame that the refs mess with the ebb and flow of these games but that what we get with ole Roger running the show. JMHO.

He actually fumbled 3 times he only lost 2. They had another fumble that they got lucky on as well.

I think they called the wrong number on that penalty. It was Cam Hayward. And he definitely hit the runner out of bounds.

Watch it again. Lemar was in bounds when Minkah made contact and Heyward then hit Minkah with Jackson still in bounds.
