I would LOVE to have a Mel Blount jersey. For some reason they seem impossible to find. Even when I go up to Pittsburgh to watch a game I rarely see one. I've been to a big store in a Pittsburgh mall and even they didn't have one. I'm a really short guy so I would need a pretty small one. If anyone has one or knows where I could get one that reasonably priced that would be awesome.

It can be hard to find things like that with a search engine. Except for eBay, none of those 1st page results look 'reputable' to me.

    Just some ball busting.

A lot of those sites are fine if you don't mind that your jersey might not be legit. I have a ton of "knock offs" from ebay that are really high quality, so I don't really care if they're not field official.

Yeah I wouldn't be able to afford an "official" jersey. I do have one of Ben though that someone got me for Christmas a couple of years ago and I know that thing had to be a couple of hundred dollars. But I will check out the link though and thanks a ton.

I would think the sites like some of the first few results there are your only chance unless you're willing to pay a couple hundred for a custom jersey...

Yeah I know and they are still like $90 even on there. I was just hoping someone on here would be willing to let one go for a reasonable price and I would be able to help out a fellow fan in return.

it has gotten increasingly harder in recent years to get a "true" old style jersey, that is, with the numbers and design that the Steelers wore during Blount's career. The only reason I have one is because I bought it during the 1990s when they still used that style. The only place that makes them now is Mitchell and Ness, and that google search turned one up here:

I was pleased to see that they had one for Blount, I've seen them for other HOF Steelers before but not his. I have a collection of over 40 different Steelers jerseys, and the Mitchell and Ness ones are nice (although the bicentennial patch is actually smaller on theirs than on the real ones).

If you don't want to pay that much, my best advice to you is to keep watching Ebay very closely- save a Mel Blount Jersey search and they will even send you emails when one turns up. Like I mentioned, 20 years ago you could find a Blount without too much trouble in any Steelers merch. store in the old "classic" style, and perhaps you can find one used that would be cheaper.

I wish that the Steelers would, one of these years, use their 70s era shirts as the throwback jersey.
