Madden is deserving. As is a guy like Jerry Jones, and Al Davis.

These guys did a lot for the NFL.

Doesn't mean you have to like them or enjoy them.

But you got to tip the hat and give credit where it's due.

 

Madden won over 100 games in only 10 years of being a HC, he also has a winning percentage of 76%, also a SB win. if it weren't for the Steelers he might have won more SB's.

 

And Shula's Dolphins.

 

I got that. It really isn't relevant.

 

Some may find this entertaining but for me, I'd prefer to have had a heads up before being totally surprised like this. With a heads up I could go through all of the emotional drama with close family and friends in privacy while getting my composure back for a nation wide notification. This is just me and not sure if I am alone on this. I heard Jimmy J was a balling mess and that is exactly what i would try and avoid. Hard to imagine the emotion that this designation would bring to someone who has dedicated so much to the game. Some will still have a hard time in Canton during speech time so once for me would be enough.

I saw that Cliff Harris made it. Maybe just before he is going to put on his gold jacket, Jack Lambert can run onto the podium and slam him to the ground just like he did in Superbowl X.

I never liked the Cowboys, but he has been waiting for a long time, and to find out in front of the cameras is tough.
