I know Lawrence Timmons was getting old....but the guy never missed time and was pretty steady in there...wish he hung around for a couple more seasons looking at the situation we are in now...I know vw is playing his spot and doing well ..but I do believe Lawrence had a bit more in the tank...surely could help our inside linebacker issues...thoughts...

 

He is gone. That is my thought. I loved timmons but just like harrison. He couldnt do what they ask him to. He cant cover

Timmons is playing in Miami.

He may have had more in the tank, but not for the price he wanted.

Timmons wanted more than the Steelers were willing to pay. Actually went into melt down mode on the choice he had to make, but given the circumstance he made the right decision and so did the Steelers.

 

I think his last game for us showed he can't do what this D calls for. His coverage skills were pretty bad and that is what hurt us, his tackling skills are still pretty darn good. However we are building a D to play teams like the Pat's and our LB's need to cover especially the inside ones, jmo.
