That's the thing though. I think he's gotten so used to the spotlight that he couldn't relinquish it. But on an unrelated note I'm watching Terminator 2 and it still rules the galaxy![/quote:2y0jepa0]

    Awesome movie :rawk:[/quote:2y0jepa0]
It came out when I was 9 and I thought it rocked and now I am 30 and AHNOLD just said "asta la vista baby" and I think a tear formed in the corner of my eye.[/quote:2y0jepa0]

Should have stopped with this one, they tied everything up nice and neat with a bow. Thought it was a perfect sequel, they usually suck.[/quote:2y0jepa0]
Yeah I've never watched any of the others because everyone says they just suck so bad. For me if I had to pick the greatest sequel of all time it would be Godfather part 2 and then the second greatest sequel of all time would be The Empire Strikes Back. As a matter of fact, Empire is the greatest Star Wars movie ever made.

Return of the jedi would have been great had they wrote it the way it was intended, they were supposed to use Wookies instead of ewoks but Lucas felt that the Emperor wouldn't have overlooked the Wookies as a threat. Great George, so you stuck us with an unbelievable threat of little muffin rags, good job  As for other sequels, I think the Born series was awesome, everyone of them were great movies. Haven't seen the new one without Damon yet.

Yeah I mean I like Return of the Jedi but there's just "something" about it that doesn't "click" like Empire. The funny thing about digging on the Ewoks is that when he released the Blu Ray version he actually gave them the ability to blink and the fanboys went INSANE! He changed a lot of things in the Blu Ray. I would LOVE to see the TRUE original Star Wars the way it was released in the 70's. For the life of me I can NOT figure out why he won't just release it! Did you ever get to see it in 1977? You're old enough to have seen it right?

Yep, I saw it in the theater, for a kid it was the most awesome thing ever, I mean back then you just didn't see special effects like that. Remember wishing how much I was sitting in an X-wing fighter soaring through space :lolol:

I think Back To The Future is my generations Star Wars. That and Ghostbusters. I still collect action figures and I have MANY of my original toys. One that my mom threw away was my proton pack. Now they are so super rare that you can't find them for anything less than $150. I want one for my little boy and I go to comic book conventions a lot and can NEVER find one. I'd kill to have that thing back though!

Why do our parents do that to us! My dad threw away boxes of my oldesr brothers comic books, this is going back to the 50/60's, he had tons of #1 books :frustrated:

Oh yeah, Back to the Future

I know dude! I still have a LOT of my Masters of the Universe on display. I still have Grayskull and Snake Mtn and Hordak's Fright Zone and most of the slime pit. I also have the bone carrying case. I have a whole curio cabinet full of Masters of the Universe figures. My mom also threw away my thundertank from Thundercats! My wife found my little boy a Back to the Future shirt and I'm super jealous! LOL. Also those silver age books your brother had could bring some serious bank if they were Marvel books.

That's some cool stuff you have. Yeah, my brother was into marvel, most of his comics was from them. Definitely lost a lot of money when they went into the trash.

Don't feel bad though. A few years ago a guy went to this lady's yard sale and bought a Detective Comics 27. In case you don't know what that is it's the 1st appearance of Batman. It's worth about $300,000! He got it for 50 cents!!!! He sold it and gave part of the money to the lady that he got if from. Batman is my favorite comic to collect and if I saw that comic I would fall over. I've heard that Kirk Hammett from Metallica has an actual first print copy of it. As if being in a world famous rock band and being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame isn't enough then he has to have that dang comic too! Some guys have all the luck. LOL.

What in the world does that have to do with anything? You don't want to hire him because he called a bad timeout once? It's unfortunate but it's not even a boneheaded move. He obviously didn't like what he saw with his matchups in a key situation and called timeout... I like that a DC would do that in such a big moment, it just didn't work out in their favor that time. Every single NFL coach has screwed up here or there.

You're really grasping at straws to convince me why we shouldn't do it. You say he's too "in the spotlight" and I mentioned that he wasn't when he was a DC, and then you say well he called a bad timeout once... and I wanted Asante Samuel... HUH?!

I was 5 when the original Star Wars came out. I was lucky as a kid in that my dad loved it and ended up taking me numerous times to see it while it was still in the theater (I know it was at least 5 times). I still have the unaltered versions on VHS stored away somewhere. Lucas won't release the originals on BR because he's just plain stubborn and wants everyone to see "his vision" instead of what everyone wants and fell in love with in the first place.

Oh, and to stay on topic: Steelers :towel:

I was just saying that it's a pipe dream period to think we would get Rex Ryan. I was also saying that basically we do this on here all the time where we talk about a certain player and whether we would want them or not. I personally would not want Rex Ryan but some people would. I personally would want Asante Samuel but some people wouldn't. I do think Rex Ryan did an alright job as Ravens DC but I just don't like the guy and wouldn't want him here. He is just one drama after the next and now that the media knows he thrives on that stuff they would be after him for a soundbyte all the time. I don't like the fact that he is boisterous. I don't mind a little swagger but I would just rather have a guy that will shut up and coach. And just because he did good at Baltimore is no indication he would do good here. I think the fact that he had at least 2 hall of famers to work with probably made it a little easier.

That VHS is actually worth quite a bit of money but I wouldn't sale it. It would be sweet to see it though. I love how Lucas always talks about his "vision". That guy is so up his own butt it's ridiculous. And oh yeah LOL (STEELERS)! Me and Tomlin just thought we were the only ones left saying anything on the thread so we just converted it to cool nerdy movie talk. It was fun and rebellious actually. I quite enjoyed it. I just hope TTF doesn't put a spell on me and make all my children be born naked.

Nothing is guaranteed. But the fact is Rex KNOWS defense. Don't give me he had 2 HOF's. We've got a ton of talent on our defense and they're under performing. He also made the Jets a real contender despite having possibly the worst starting QB in the league.

Rex was the Ravens DC from 2005-2008, here was their defensive ranks..
    2005: 5th
    2006: 1st
    2007: 6th
    2008: 2nd

Even more amazing, Jets' defensive ranks by year...
    2006: 20th
    2007: 18th
    2008: 16th
    :::Rex becomes Jets HC:::
    2009: 1st
    2010: 3rd
    2011: 5th

    That's an astounding turnaround!!!

If he can take the 16th ranked defense, and make them #1 in ONE season, imagine what he could do with our defense.

He brought some Ravens with him to that team. He didn't take the talent that was there and do that. I'm not saying he doesn't know defense. He HAS to know it. It's his birthright. But THIS year the Jets D is horrible. As a matter of fact on 3rd down I think they are ranked like 31st or something. Even when Revis was there they were still giving up major points this season. I would rather give Butler a shot. If he's good enough for the Rooney's he's good enough for me. I think we'd both agree that Lebeau is done and it's gonna take some major work for this D to get turned around.

The Jets have actually gotten worse each year under Rex but I don't pin that all on him, they have made a lot of idiotic moves since he's gotten to town, they had far more talent the first year he was there. Woody is a splash guy, likes splashy moves, hates the Giants, always trying to win the back page war. Meanwhile the Giants just go about their business and win SB's.

My only regret is that I didn't post this before the conversation went back to Rex. He did call the timeout. Last time I pulled for a Rats victory. Regardless, he's a pretty good D coach. As I said earlier, I don't think he will be fired. He's their most successful coach since 1970. I also don't think if Lebeau retires, he would be hired. Nor might he take a D coordinator position before testing the HC waters again.
