Would Sean Smith be any cheaper than K.Lewis?

Reports are that Miami won't tag Sean Smith and he'll hit the open market. Obviously my choice would be Lewis over Smith because he already has plenty of experience in our scheme... However Smith is a year younger I believe, and probably has more game experience that Lewis.

If Keenan is demanding too much would we take a look at Smith and offer him what we'd offer Lewis? Smith has been inconsistent in his career so far, but played well lately.

Ok then, that answers my question.

If that's the case, we better re-sign Lewis FAST. If Smith gets 8 mil per year, Lewis' agent is certainly going to say his client deserves at least that much.

i think they already made him an offer and he already knows how much the steelers are going to pay , is up to him now , i think he will test the market and will make his choice , i don't see the steelers going in any bidding war with him or anybody else . that's what i understand from colbert speech ,but i can be wrong. any of ours free agents knows that if they want to take the best offer , they will find elsewhere , there are teams under 50 milion or 40 around
