France feels inevitable at this point. Argentina has a banana slide to the final 4 and could be a problem, but France just seems too strong.

Wow things are shaping up nicely for USA.

Not a real tough road ahead of them tonight and next game.

    2-0 Senegal.

Oh well Senegal up 2-0 in second half. No way Belgium comes back. Sorry girl I had a wonderful night with 50 years ago in Brussels and sorry I can't remember your name. I'm guessing I was not the only sailor you spent time with.

    Lets go USA!!

Awesome! Rare to see comebacks in this sport but Belgium did it. Tied it up at the 89 minute mark. Was cool seeing their excitement. Should be good from here on out.

    Go USA!

I give up when a team goes down 2 goals, glad I stayed with this one. On to OT and no Golden Goal whatever the hell that means. I'm pulling for Belgium. I'd like to see USA/Belgium in the 16.

Golden Goal means you score you win immediately, game over.
Now 2 15 minute periods no matter who scores.

Why is Senegal subbing out their stars? Are they exhausted?

Wow, I don't know the rules of Soccer but I did not think that was a penalty.

Yeah defender kicked the players foot before he could play the ball.
Definitely a penalty, but terrible time for it.

USA/Belgium Monday July 6th. Would have been cool to play the game on the countries 250th birthday.

    LETS GO USA!!!

Wife has a friend who lives in Belgium. He hates the World Cup. There are always problems over there during the tournament. When Morocco won their fans who live in his area went crazy and destroyed things. The train he takes to work will be out of service for a week because of the damage they did during celebration.

The faking of injuries is a disgrace to the sport. I want to scream at them, "you're on camera, idiot." Took me a few games but I see what you mean about the offsides. Happened to USA last night but thankfully we won anyhow.

    WORD!

I think the dude was straight-up faking that injury last night, and the ref helped force the red card. It’s funny how players who don’t get a card against their opponent are suddenly up and running the moment the call doesn’t go their way?

The offside rule is heavily skewed toward defense. They should limit it to the goal box only otherwise just play man-on-man

Like I said if I want to watch grown men rolling around on the ground faking injuries and covering their privates on free kicks, I know exactly where to go. Having said that… Go USA! We’ve got a lot of skilled soccer players. In my opinion, we should beat Belgium and win our second knockout game.

Adjusting offsides would ruin the strategy of the game. It evens the playing field quite a bit across the world. Most of these teams wouldn't stand a chance in these games without it. Not every sport has to have high score lines, I like the thrill of a low scoring game.

As far as injuries go, I agree that the faking injuries is aggravating and tough to watch especially when it can help to create a situation like last night (although studs up like that and right into his ankle was rough and many times is a red). With that being said, the time they take after fouls also is a strategy to give their team a breath during non-stop action. Is it overdramatized and kinda lame, sure, but it is what it is. Flopping not only in soccer these days.

Hell of a goal for Spain to give them a 2-0 lead. Spain looks tough and I would think has a shot at title.

Not sure if Soccer gives assist out on goals scored like Hockey but Spain's second goal was a great pass to teammate for a header.
