Man... I was hoping they were just resting him and letting Worlids play because we did not really need him.

Tomlin after the game, "LaMarr Woodley felt a little tweak. There’s no major damage. He might be in play for Thursday night but we didn’t want to do any further damage to him today. We will see where we are."

Well - they won't need him against Cleveland either - so let him rest the next two weeks to be ready for San Fran.

    We need him in January.

We didn't need him today. Probably won't need him Thursday. Let him heal. Hammies are fickle things.

:this!: I don't care how small the tweak was. I pulled a hamstring once, and 99% is not good enough. He tweaked it on Sunday and we're supposed to believe it'll be 100% on Thursday? Uh-uh. We're more favored to win this game than the game we just won by 28 points, and Worilds is doing just fine. SF is the big game, keep Woodley safe and see if he can go for that one. I want to see him going against Anthony Davis.

I sure hope once he gets back, that he plays with reckless abandon, we
will need him to provide multiple sack games. I don't like his motor. Can't
put a finger on it but have never liked his MOTOR. He is not in Hines Ward category.

True - and true. BUT - in the Seattle game, the starters played the whole game, even though it was in-hand from the get-go. Maybe it is because it is late in the season, and pulling starters is a way to keep them fresh for the stretch run as well as give back-ups like Batch some game experience in the regular season just in case. Let's hope that the starters can be pulled for the whole 2nd half of the game on Thursday!! :-D

Some players refuse to sit on games due to contract bonuses that are optional, based on performance (usually measured in number of catches, yards, sacks, tackles, TDs, % of total snaps and a very long ETC).
Don't know the particular circumstances of our team's contracts with players, but probably it's one of the reasons some players insist on taking every possible snap.
