He better be focusing on both if he wants to be a threat off the edge.

Agree. Even if there was a chance it did, the Steelers didn't draft him at 17 overall last year to move him from his natural position.

I agree somewhat, but how would our D have been without Hampton all those years? NT is the key when it comes to the middle and run stopping. Hampton demanded a double team OFTEN, and this allowed many single blocking assignments which our LBs made the most of. You add in A Smith to that mix and you see why the team was so successful, so I agree about the DE, but they go hand in hand. Do we need another Hampton? It would be nice, but that position will not be addressed this draft IMO, but the line has to get better period.

I agree but we have to be formiable in our sub-package because that's what the offenses are dictating to us. I don't know what the exact numbers are but we probably were in our sub-package more than our base defense. JJ, Kiesel, Heyward, Worilds or any combination we use that includes two DTs and two OLBs will be the norm and we have to play this as if it's our base. Now that also includes the two ILBs or a safety playing ILB. Either or we have to be able to stop the run in this formation if we want to be successful. And if memory serves me correctly, this is where we got gashed.

This is how I feel, yeah you would save money in the next 2 years getting rid of Woodely, but getting rid of Woodley this year would probably force you to draft 2 OLB's in this upcoming draft.

Some of these young LB's that were fun to watch during preseason were going up against scrubs, they are still unkown IMHO.

Otherwise, next year is going to be difficult if Worilids or Jarvis get injured with no one behind them.

And who knows. Maybe Worlids just got lucky last year and struggles next year, and likewise, maybe Woodley returns to form and is good for another 5 years.
