    I wonder why you don't see/hear about
more incentive laden contracts? Not just in football. But other sports also.
Look @baseball for instance a guy can hit
250 yet receive 8-10 mill/season. And you wonder why people are turned off by sports.
Being highly compensated for mediocre play?

    It just doesn't add up?

I know what you mean, and for the good of my brain I try and stay well away from how all these figures are added up.

For example, soccer players are now bought for 40, 50, 60 million euros. Does that mean they are 60 times better than a guy bought for 1 million? Obviously not. It's calculated not just by on-field performance, but increased television figures leading to more coverage, so more money; shirt sales; image rights; etc. etc.

I suppose the problem with too much incentive-laden contracts are what the incentives are. Incentives based on the whole team could lead to players missing out regardless of their individual effort, and incentives based on individual effort risk losing sight of the team.

Sorry, I'm off on a tangent.

Ike's a pro and solid cover with the proper help from an effective LB core

Our entire defense has suffered not just the cover.
