Wk. 10......... the good, the bad and the ugly

The good:
1. Secondary represented all game
2. Lost in all the action was the fact that jordan berry learned how to punt
3. 2nd half front 7 was a brick wall
4. Ben's 4th quarter rebound
5. Juju and AB stayed the course
6. Pass blocking got it together
7. Overall discipline was very good

The bad:
1. 1st half front 7 was horsehair plaster
2. Run blocking was nonexistent all game
3. We were pushed around on both sides in the 1st half

The ugly:
1. 1st half ben was as bad as it gets

 

the good: sean davis played a good game.

hargraves had a huge game.

juju.

the bad: berry had one clunker in there.

vince foote is not very good.

ben needs to quit forcing the ball to AB, even when AB complains.

that is the 3rd time mccullers got penalized for lining up over the center on an extra point.

the ugly: the faces of the jags when ben scored.

 

To be fair the secondary had an easy day because Bortles sucked passing but he sure handed that ball off good in the first half.

 

How about TJ, 2 sacks 2 forced fumbles 6 tackles....

 

shhhhhhhh, he'll get big headed.

 

Had to mention it since he now has 10 sacks with 6 games left thats pretty impressive for only being in his second year as a starter....

 

I feel pretty good about Berry when a 41-yarder is a clunker.

 

added to the good,

Hargrave playing the whole second half instead of big Dan which helped in containing Fournett and pressure Bortles.
Watt who played great
Coaches for putting more defensive players in the box to stop Fournett in the second half, once they figured out Bortles was not going to throw.

added to the bad,

Dupree, who the jags were running at his side mostly in the 1st half. He is still weak against the run.
Ben forcing it to AB too many times and he was locked in on him.
Conners who took his eyes off the ball on those drop passes.

 

I think it was a good game. The Steelers pulled out a victory. They paid back the Jags a little for last year and I won my weekly 1,000 bet. I bet the game early last week and only gave the Jags 2.5 points. The line moved a little through the week to 5 points.If I had waited until later in the week to place the bet I would have lost on that bet. Obviously getting 5 points the Jags would have won the bet. Sometimes timing works for you. Doing well so far this year for the charities.

 

The good:

Coaching tweaks ( how's that MT)
VW had a great game and many others stepped up as well
Teams resiliency on display
Berry
JUJU stepping up with AB blanketed
Very few penalties

The bad:

Sean Davis's hands
1st half run D
Spiking the ball in the RZ

The could of been ugly:

Clock management on the last drive(spike) and in general on the last drive
Accepting the penalty that would of made it 4th down and 1. Although I'm pretty sure you only risk that against Bortles.
If Bortles keeps on the 3rd and short inside of 2 minutes. He still might be running. Something to keep a eye on because other teams will be.

 

you and i watched a totally different game if VW had a great game.

 

This right here, why is Big Dan on this team holy cow he is bad.
