With the 5th pick of the 2015 Draft the Pittsburgh Steelers select........

Had an odd dream last night that the Steelers traded up to pick number 5 and selected a CB in the draft.

Don't know much about the draft this year but if the Steelers did pick at Number 5 who would that pick be?

 

Only person worth that kind of trade would be Leonard Williams. Possibly Shane Ray or Randy Gregory. Definately no corner worth taking there, especially with what that trade would entail.

 

Williams or Ray. I dont really care for Gregory as an every down OLB in our system. The opposition would just run at him all game long and pick up huge chunk yardage if the DE doesnt make the play... Amari Cooper would be another player worth that kind of trade up, but I dont think theres any way were gonna trade up to get a WR. I would think we would trade up like 5-7 spots maybe, not 17.

Oh man, #5 would be a tough spot for us, I think, as the value for what we need just really isn't there. Realistically Williams is off the board by then, so I focus on Ray, Peat, or Fowler. Cooper would likely be BPA but do we need a 5th overall WR on our roster? Ray would bring the pass rush, Fowler would bring the overall solid play at OLB, and Peat would hopefully prevent the T-Suggs abuse that we're subject to at least twice a year.

 

Leonard Williams would be the only guy I would want at pick #5 for this current Team.

 

I honestly don't think there is one guy in this draft I would trade that far up for in the first round.

 

Let's hope that dream doesn't come true...
