Rock Ya Sin at #20 would be the absolute worst case scenario that I can think of.

I'm hoping all these rumours are very false.

The rumor makes me nervous. I kind of like him, but not at #20. If we trade back to the 28+ range and get more ammunition, and then take him, I feel a bit better.

By the way, Gil Brandt has Ya Sin as his #38 overall prospect, and #4 corner. He’s not a no name or projected 3rd - 4th rounder, but I still don’t see the value at #20.

1 year player at Temple. Not exactly a powerhouse. 4.52 in the 40 and over 7.00 in 3 cone. That's DL territory . Can you say the Tyler Matakevich of CBs :hehehe:. Shefter is reporting a trade up possible to where Detroit is (8). Steelers making calls....that's a pretty hefty price to pay. Someone pointed out at SD that it would of cost them less last year go move up for Vander Esch or sweetened the pot for Evans. We don't know how feasible it may have been. I don't think they liked Vander Esch and didn't/ couldn't do enough to get to Evans. I'd imagine they have to see who is actually there at 8. Maybe if White is there they do it,for Bush maybe not.

When all is said and done it looks like Kraft may end up paying less than we do for bush.....

That may be the case but based on his numbers and the fact he played at Temple is he necessarily better than some of the other CBs that will surely be available in the 2-3. I don't see the value at all. They claim his physicality is one of his biggest strengths....great just in time for the new PI rules.

Exactly. It's scary that we even did that. And obviously it didn't work.

Not that PFF is the end all be all, but they had Sean Davis as undrafted. And Edmunds as a late round pick. Now it's too early to tell on the latter but swinging for the fences by taking guys out of left field does not work.

The Rock Ya Sin rumour swirling now is either a smoke screen or the most aggregious leak I've ever seen. If the latter, FIRE EVERYBODY :lolol:

Welp. My dreams of Bucky Hodges leading us into the future have been dashed. He was waived. TE just became a little more important? Hockenson? He wore 38.....Heath 83....cue Twilight Zone music:smiley1:

I'm not we would trade up too far for Hock but there's no doubt he is on our radar.

The first round pick is going to be somebody who Kevin Colbert and Mike Tomlin visited on their Pro Day, or someone who should have been drafted higher, but falls, like Montez Sweat.

I am tired of the Steelers overvaluing draft choices. We have got to get back
    to better player evaluation.

Well at least we will have 3 networks that will skip or pay very little attention to our pick.

Adam Schefter was just saying the Steelers were making calls to move up in the draft.

    Devin White
    TJ Hockenson
    Brian Burns

I think those are our trade up options.

There are none of the usual signs pointing to either Hockenson or Burns. White may be in our sights.

The "usual" signs haven't been evident this whole pre-draft process imo

Tomlin loves rock ya sin.. I feel like whatever Tomlin wants or likes u just need to do the exact opposite.. I literally have zero confidence in Tomlin's capabiliies on talent evaluation or anything football related

I agree, but hope they do not give up that capitol for Bush..and I do like him. There is so much lacking on this team, not just starters, but quality depth. If Bush was THAT guy, like Troy or Ryan I could see it, but we are more than one player away from consistency.

I do not see the Edmunds and Savage comparison in drafts. I like Davis, inconsistent at times, but the last two years the FA safety market has exploded. I just do not think the Cap dollars are there to sign him long term with the other guys they are targeting to keep.
