With Ben out, try something new!

I saw something today on the end around run by Heyward-Bey, he ran over a linebacker it looked like to me, could have been a strong safety. He looks like he runs with the ball real well in traffic, and he a big strong body.

I think Heyward -Bey would be deadly in Hines old spot in the slot. Hines was hell on wheels when he caught a ball over the middle. Hey Bey doesn't get many balls when he plays split out, so why not put him and his big body in the slot.?

Keep the TE in to block, and send Hey Bey in routes, plus you have AB split to one side, and Coates, Wheaton, or Eli split outon the other end.

Hey Bey is gonna be a lot harder to cover than a TE, like Hines was too.

I think if you put Hey Bey in Hines old spot, it will be hell for opposing defenses.
Plus, if the pass blocking is holding up, the TE can release like Heath used to do.

Hines used to like to go in motion and run those reverses just like Hey Bey did today, and he looked a lot like a RB doing it.

It would be a help for Landry as well. He can look left, then right,and if nothing is there, find Hey Bey running in space, or dump it off to the TE.

The only thing about it is that Hey Bey can fly, and if he gets the ball over the middle in space, he is gonna be hell to catch, much faster than Hines was.

Jones is a horrid QB no plan will help him ....As I stated in the other thread might as well go Wildcat or wing t or something Jones will play very bad...

You don't have to pick a team "instead" of the Steelers, pick one with the Steelers.

I'm a Steeler fan first, but Buffalo is my backup team this year. Last year it was Detroit because I like Stafford.

 

I have been a Steelers fan for 40 yrs. I have never had a 2nd team and I am not going to start now. I bleed black/gold. Now I may start watching the Penguins but another NFL team aint gonna happen. Unless you count me pulling for every team that plays the Ratbirds, Brownies, Bungals, Cheatriots, and Cowturds, now I am down for that.

 

Obviously I will not be choosing ravens or patriots or Bengals for my back up team -.-

 

Yep. Gotta ride out the bad times. Hopefully it won't be like 1980-2004 when it was one bad or mediocre QB after another.

 

I stick by my teams through the good times and the bad. Sticking by them through the bad makes those good times so much sweeter.

And with the Steelers, there are good times. We're not the Browns.

Heyward-Bey runs about a 4.2 in a 40. Gotta be 1 of the fastest guys on the team. Todd Haley don't have the IQ to utilize a speed threat like him. I'm sure he's faster than Coats, plus Coats is only playing with how many fingers right now?? Heyward-Bey should've replaced Coats if Coats is hurt...

 

In the category of "try something new," I'd like to see us try tackling and blocking.

I think Ben misses next week and thats it ,comes back refreshed and goes on a tear (no pun intended)..
A torn meniscus ain't too bad ..I had surgery on mine and was out running again the next week
