I know that - just saying that you don't normally see a TE taking it to the house like that. Usually they are out of gas by the time they get 25-30 yards out. He went 75...

Agree that the D isn't that good but I think it has the potential to be quite a bit better. Hopefully last night was just a step. Keep it simple, keep it aggressive and use all the talent available (rotations) in the best possible way by utilizing individual strengths. Also agree on the O but keep in mind we were on the road which usually isn't great for our O. We were down 2 starters on the OL and we are still getting used to life without Bell and a rookie being our 3rd option at WR and a TE that is still relatively new to the system. Oh and a new OC still trying to figure things out and get this O into a rythm....

It's funny, a lot of SF fans are scratching their heads at his performance. Saying he wasn't that big, wasn't that fast, and definitely couldn't catch when he played there.

Sour grapes, I guess. That, and having just lost their QB savior/gamble for the season.

McDonald seems to do a better job catching the ball now than he did when he was with the 49ers. Sadly, he isn't doing a better job of staying healthy.

His problem has been injuries and the occasional drops. That's why they let him go.

In fairness he did replenish his strength by sucking the life essence from Conte with that stiff arm.

    I'll make this one simple.
The good. It's a Win when we needed it most.
The Bad. These ridiculous celebrations when the game is very far from being over.
The Ugly. The product the NFL is shoving down our throats. If they keep it up with the incredibly soft calls the true fans will leave in droves.

The long run that set up the 1st touchdown he was in the slot and looked like he was blitzing but Vincent did his usual hit the first gap right in front of Berhe and they both were outside looking at Barber sprinting right by.

That's the thing I don't get RF knows Ben and knows his comfort level especially up tempo but then you get head scratchers on play calling or the worst having a make able 3rd and 3 with them giving an almost 10 yard cushion to your top receiver (assuming it was AB) you see it and end up calling a timeout and then give up a sack.

Also I don't get people telling me the offense can't score every time as an excuse which has merit but they can move the ball and drain the clock. Then they turn around and complain about the defense like they should stop everything. +3on turnovers and covered just one of those into points. That's the big difference between this offense and others we won't mention. Getting turnovers and covering them to points.

Both the offense and the defense did a good job in the first half.
    In the second half...
    The defense was average, and...
    The offense was not good.

Fortunately, they built enough of a lead in the first half to weather the lack of production in the second half.

The problem with our O is it isn't consistent. I love me some Big Ben and I know what I'm about to say may cause some angry responses. What makes Ben great is also what holds us back from ever being that skies the limit O we always hear about . He takes too many risks and is careless with the football ....he will never learn the live to fight another day philosophy. The early pick I can live with but the late fumble I can't. It could of been a game changer if they recover. He's been putting himself and the team in these situations his whole career. He should never take a sack on 1st down anywhere on the field especially RZ,yet he does.
We get too cute and we always did with Ben when a simple play is a better option. Empty sets inside the 5 when power football plays and formations would be better suited. How many teams do we see run PA on goal to go situations for easy TDs just because of the threat of a run....all the time, but not us. We have to try and be fancy. There are way too many times the simple play was the right play but we decided to try and fool everyone instead. I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that his biggest strength is sometimes the teams biggest weakness....There is a time and a place on the field to take chances but Ben will never be consistent with that notion....He is patient in spurts but then resorts back to holding onto and forcing the ball. He doesn't pay enough attention to situational football and his gunslinger mentality will always be a blessing and a curse.
All these things lead to a inconsistent offense....even with all that we're lucky to have him.
With a better D we would be better suited to deal with the mistakes but now with things in their current state we could use a less risky approach.

I agree with what you are saying but then watch the play to win the game to JuJu. That’s Ben man feast or famine. As a song goes you will miss me when I’m gone!

And I had a few PBRS!

Haden is a difference maker for sure. Hiltons injury is a major hit. Rewatching the game just watched Burns get torched by Evans, would have been a pass interference. He had no clue where the ball was with his back turned. I have little hope unfortunately. heard him saying "I guess I should have turned around". I guess...

Got the win but this d still is a major concern.
