He's concerned that Gronk may have hurt his elbow when he slammed it into the back of the Buffolo DB's helmet.

I'm looking forward to seeing Josh Dobbs lead the 13-2 Steelers against the 1-14 Browns, who got off the schnide with a week 15 upset of the Ravens...:drinks:

I’m pretty sure the Jags have to lose as well for us to clinch the #1 seed. If things get really ugly in the next 3 weeks we could actually end up as the 4th seed.

Not true. Even if they lose all their remaining games they would finish with an 11 -5 record, which is better than any team in the west can post. So third spot is the worst they can finish.

Are you thinking Dobbs would get the start over Landry? I’m thinking Landry just so he can get some snaps prior to the playoffs.

No way ! The Browns home finale is something I look forward to every year it's the 5th pre-season to the post season game.

    Steelers JV vs Browns varsity.

In theory, If we win next week. Would we not want the Jaguars to win out?
The Steelers would then have to win one of the final two games. To lock in the #1 seed.
If the Jags win out, they would be the 2nd seed.

Thus dropping New England to 3. Making them play a home wildcard game against a 6th seed (Baltimore,. Chargers, or Buffalo)
Which 2 of those 3 would be a bad match up for the Pats.

If the Pats get by them, it would send them to Jacksonville. Which they don't seem to like Florida very well.
Steelers would avoid them if they were the 3 seed.

This could be the ideal scenario in avoiding them or just making it harder for them.

If the Steelers win the next two weeks, or win this week and jacksonville loses. I don't like to think that game will mean anything, much like last year. Which I went to, and it was still fun to beat the Brownies with the JV squad.

Not even next 2 weeks...steelers beat the pats they will have a 3 games lead on them ,2 games plus the tie breaker...I won' t be too concern about the Jags over taking the Steelers ..steelers can just rest everyone until playoffs.

Resting isn't always the best thing the 2005 Colts did that, they had everything wrapped up with like 2-3 weeks go in the season, they rested everybody.
Then the Steelers beat them in the divisional round of the playoffs and went on to win the Super Bowl.

But playing them to half time or whatever, wouldn't be a bad idea.

No we don't clinch the 1 seed with a win against the Pats.

    It's pretty simple..

Steelers win = clinched #2 seed
Steelers win + Jags loss = clinched #1 seed

Steelers have already clinched the #3 seed.

People saying that by beating the Pats this week means we get to avoid them and get the Jags later on seems crazy considering what the Jags did to us earlier this year.

Lets keep grinding out wins, one game at a time and what will be will be.

We could get a good matchup on paper and then play like crap or get a bad one and end up ballin.

Destiny is in our own hands at this point!

Hopefully, the Jags will choke and lose at least once in the final 3 games.

Pending a win next week, the Jags would need to win out, and Steelers lose two games to get HFA. Not happening for Jacksonville.

If the Pats lose next week, they have no chance at the 1 seed. Because even if the Pats beat Jets & Bills, and Steelers lose to Hou & Browns, they'd both have four losses, with Steelers owning tiebreaker.

I was being a little silly. In my dream scenario, the Steelers would have already clinched home field- due to a Jax loss in one of the next two games. That way, by the time they take the field on Xmas Monday, the last 2 games will be meaningless and the stars get rested. Landry gets the Texans, Dobbs gets the Browns. James Conner becomes the #1 last minute add in Espn fantasy football leagues that run until week 17.
