Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free!
I follow the plan God laid for me.
I saw His face, I heard His call,
I took His hand and left it all…
I could not stay another day,
    To love, to laugh, to work or play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
And if my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
    A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss…
Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss.
My life’s been full, I’ve savored much:
Good times, good friends, a loved-one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief –
Don’t shorten yours with undue grief.
Be not burdened with tears of sorrow,
Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow.

    I don't know the author

Great legend. I didn't even know he was still alive honestly- it's been 50 some years since he played. He and #21 sure perfected that nonchalant basket catch in the OF. Not sure if Roberto was copying him or if that's the way he learned in PR? Those were the days of MLB at it's finest. Today the OF-ers just stab at it with one hand with those jumbo mitts.

Great great ball player and human being, although I saw him in
his later years he still had that aura. I am biased I still believe the great one #21
was the best player I have ever seen. Those knot hole tickets in RF at Forbes Field
    Were unbelievable .
