I'm seeing some reports, but nothing "official" yet. However, Spotrac's contract repository (which showed Harrison's contract as gone before official reports of his release) is now showing Colons contract as $2.15 million in dead money in 2013, and $4.3 million of dead money ion 2014 - which indicates that Colon has been designated as a June 1 cut.

Rotoworld is also showing no contract for Colon. It was there a few days ago.

You're right...it looks to be official according to Spotrac.

So they can say we're cutting him, but not until June? Does that allow the player to negotiate with another team in that timeframe?

I hate when I cut my Colon.

Its usually a sign that either A) Scotts was on sale at the grocery store or B) I need to trim my nails or C) Both A and B

At the time Colon was one of the best OL they had...and did not have a prior injury history. So I do not think it was a bad move or overpaid. But with the injuries...and them getting DD...and possibly looking for a new style of linemen/etc...you kind of have your hands tied. I'm sure if the Steelers could predict all this they wouldnt have paid him like they did.

The best they had at the time still isn't saying much. Steelers have become known in recent years for overpaying and over valuing OL as freak said. We have come a long way from when Colon was the best OL we had. Remember we had sorry azz Hartwig at C. You know, the dude who got steam rolled in the EZ by a lower tier DT. We still have a ways to go and a lot to prove on OL. Colon was better at G than T but not for the money he was making.

Some people just don't get it, and we get ridiculed for pointing
out the obvious. I would like to know how much football some of these posters
have actually seen. I bet they get their football fro face book and Madden
and you tube, oh well to each his own.
