I am Ok with this, but if 2020 and this latest fiasco has shown us anything having DEPTH is a good thing because of injury or COVID. Let him learn behind Spillane and Vince and when we need him he’s there.

 

why the 'ugh'? Spillane had been doing a very good job and has the green dot to call plays. Glad for the depth pick up, but nothing warranted yet to bench spillane.

He has no lateral speed and if he doesn’t fill the correct gap on his first read/guess he becomes a huge liability. He made a few big plays with balls thrown directly to him otherwise he is a big time liability to our defense. Cincy got down big and had to go 1 dimensional and Jax QB was unbelievably bad and they still ran somewhat successful. Since Bush was injured besides the Titans game we are getting gashed up the middle. Mark my words if he is playing 70-80% of plays on D come playoff time he will be a major issue. You need to watch closely and how often he is chasing the play sideline to sideline.

 

What else can we do?

 

If Ben throws 4 picks in a game, he is going to be a major liability. Mark my words. Fichtner said he is happy with Ben and isn't starting Rudolph. Ugh.

I also heard that Ray Ray isn't going to take JuJu's spot even though JuJu would be a major liability if he broke his femur tripping over the 50 yard line and had to run his routes hopping on one leg.

 

Now there is a Huh moment. Isn't that most linebackers? Bush chased plays. Williams chases plays. They only get picks it they are thrown right to them. His pick was far from thrown right to him by the way. He also again out tackled Williams last week.

I never said Williams was good at side to side play. He is having a good year up the middle though. Bush hasn’t even been overly impressive so far but if you watch the tape he is 5X the player Spillane is. Some of you guys take this crap way too personal. You would think he is your brother or something. Watch the tape and open your eyes.

 

it's not personal at all. He's not playing that had for only doing it for what did games? No I don't think Bush is 5 times the player. Is he better? Probably. Is he faster? Yes, but Spillane has not hurt us in his role so far.

 

You talk as if we were to watch the tape, that makes a difference? I trust an entire coaching staff to do this and they have made their choice. What do you know that our coaches don't? Please contact them immediately so we don't lose our next game.

 

Of course the Steelers getting squashed up the middle was solely on Spillane's play, AluAlu and Hilton being injured had nothing to do with that.
