a couple of fla.st. LB'ers manning the middle of the field? http://www.steelersdepot.com/2013/06/steelers-lawrence-timmons-rookie-vince-williams-fsu/ i'm pulling for the kid. they talk about his lack of pass coverage expierience, but would he be worse then foote in this regard? he's not very good at it and never has been. i'm not seeing a big dropoff here.

i like a couple other options inside too. mcfadden and rolle not to mention if spence eventually comes back. again it's not lack of talent in some area's but lack of expierience. i'm liking our young talent in place and this will make for a better preseason then in most years.

tighten up the chin straps this year boys and let's see who's hungry.

some favorite camp battles i'm watching:

OT: gilbert, adams(now may change some), whimper, long, farrell, golic, beachum, hubbard.

    OG: DD,foster,cheadle,malecki,embernate,beachum,madsen,hubbard.

    C: pouncey,beachum,malecki,madsen,(even foster took reps in OTA's.)

    RB: bell,redman,dwyer,batch,LSH,mcneal

    FB: johnson & johnson

WR: AB,sanders, cotchery, plax, gilreath, wheaton,j.brown, woods, dunn, moye,(and a few other guys.)

QB: ben, grad, wilson, jones,(and i'm not sure if the kid from purdue is still here.)

    TE: miller,spaeth,paulson,johnson,pianalto,shaw.

K: suisham, hrapman ( this job may be more important then most think)

LS: warren, ingram (most don't pay attention to this position until it messes up)-( warren was always good in punt coverage, but ingram was the top rated LS coming out this year.)

NT: mclendon, woods,ta'amu, fangupo, hunter ( the interesting wrinkle is woods.)-( woods plays multiple positions and this could allow for an extra LB or DB to be kept)

DE: keisel, hood, heyward, woods, fangupo, williams, arnfelt, hagans.( i think this is going to be a good one to watch)

    OLB: woodley,worilds,jones,carter,robinson

    ILB: timmons,foote,sly,williams,rolle,mcfadden,wilson,baxter,spence.

CB: taylor, allen, gay, brown, king,DVD,hawthorne, victorian and a couple others.

    S: troy,clark,cromartie-smith,golden,thomas,holley,ventrone.

P: butler, new guy (i can't for the life of me remember his name)-(this may be quite the little battle in itself though)

RS: wheaton?,dunn,LSH,gilreath, woods, brown, another? ( this too may make or break someone)

i'm looking forward to the day the pads go on. (big smile :smiley1:)

Yeah, Numbah and I were saying this in the "whos your favorite draft pick" thread. He's going to be a good one, especially if they improve his pass coverage but I think he is our future leader on defense for sure.
