I was glad to have him back, and I predicted he'd start due to injury, but I expected him to remain behind Cortez on the depth chart. I'm not super shocked by how well Gay's played, because of his drastic 2011 improvement. I'm mostly disappointed in Cortez Allen, who I thought would be starting and pulling in 4 or 5 INTs this year.

I had the exact same feeling about Cortez. He DID get hurt early but who can say if that has anything to do with his performance now? If he's 100% right now I don't foresee him as the next Woodson.

i think they have tez playing a role. i don't think he's been playing bad this year. maybe one game early, which i think the ankle was still bothering him. he missed alot of time. maybe MT is sending a message to make him hungry and we just happen to have a guy back that knows whats going on.

we have changed our approach on this D somewhat this year. i think all the db's are in more of a specialized role with the young guys in many spots. we were young at every level d-line,LB and CB and safety at times. our db's are also in more run support roles in this version of a 4 man front we have been seeing and troy at LB/rover.

So you're saying that we're sorta keeping a "leash" on the young guys? Like he's not expected to necessarily fly around and make incredible plays as he is expected to just be disciplined and learn the system and the big plays will come naturally later?

Cortez may show up this year but if now he will roar next year. I called Kenan Lewis' breakout, now I am calling Cortez's

Well the good news is I haven't noticed him playing poorly lately. Just early in the year, and he was injured for a bit. Of course, he's not getting the playing time he would as a starter, either.

Cortez is definitely light years ahead of where Keenan was at this point in his career.

I think Keenan has at least one pick this year. Seems like he picked off Romo I think? I was never a fan of his either though. I'm hard for a corner to please really.
