The next two opponents are the Jets and Titans before the bye week. If the offense keeps rolling I say yes.

Sure hope so...but the Steelers' mysterious habit of playing down to the level of competition is always a bit worrisome. The NFL is more and more a week to week league. 8-3 is my expectation, but 6-5 wouldn't surprise me.

I think the next two games against the league's bottom feeders will reveal as much about this team as the last three against quality competition. Will we assert our dominance or will we play down to the competition as we've been prone to do the last few seasons? Stay tuned...

They aren't losing to the Jets or Titans, next loss will come against NO or Benglas, they will split those games.

I'm not worried about NO. They aren't great away from the dome and the weather will have turned by that game. If they continue to play like this and get healthy they could end up 13-3. A Harrison and Jones combo could prove to be very dangerous. For a LT to have to go back and forth between speed and power rushers is awesome. Throw in the Psycho package with Worilds, Timmons, Jones, Harrison, and Shazier is just nasty. Ike is still better then Blake or McCain also. The offense is absolutely rolling and Bryant is only going to get better and thanks to being inactive there's less of a chance of hitting that rookie wall. I see no reason they can't average 30+ points a game the rest of the way.

It's possible. The Jets haven't been getting blow out so they definitely have a chance at an upset.

I never trust this team against anybody, even more so against bad teams. Let's just focus on getting to 7-3. If you going to be good you don't lose to bad teams.

Two things I'm worried about with NO, we are getting them coming out of our bye so we may have lost some of our mojo for that game and the other thing is Brees, he's the type to really hurt this team. I'd feel much better about that game if we had them this week, I'd much rather be playing the Jets coming out of our bye week.

Those two games after the break are huge, we could actually be 8-5 before finding their rhythm again. Even an optimist like me isn't expecting to win every game the rest of the way. I'm hoping they at least split those 2 games.

I still have us going 11-5, just don't know which path will get them there.

I could be wrong but I feel like Tomlin has a very good record after the bye week. That gives DL two weeks to come up with a plan to stop Brees

We take both from the Bengals, is NO home or away? If in NO, we lose.

How's this for a switch in roles. You're being pessimistic and I'm being optimistic??? ;)

Here's why the game plays right into the Steelers' hands.

    1. It's at Heinz
    2. It'll be cold
    3. The Saints are more Jekyll-Hyde than the Steelers...and they are terrible on the road and in cold weather
    4. Isn't Ike due back?
    5. Might Shazier and Jones be ready?

As things stand right now, Steelers 34 Saints 24

    Tomlin's post-bye week results:
    L at Denver (bad loss)
W at Cincy (big win 38-10)
    W at Denver
    W vs Cleveland
W at KC (a squeaker against Tyler Palko)
    W vs Philly
    W at Jets

    That's 6-1

One week at a time . We need to beat the Jets and beat them bad we need to start blowing Teams out and getting our Depth more experience ..This is how you get guys better for the post season push by getting in game experience..

This week will be telling. On paper, we should win easily.... but it could be a confidence issue where the guys think they have an easy week ON THE ROAD and don't put in the same effort.... (see Cleveland, Tampa and Jacksonville). I'd really like to see a blow out.... win the way it is supposed to be won.

We might win 11-10 but win we will.

    8-3? Yes, I say 16-3 - too much?

When is the last time we won in Nashville?
Not our best venue down there.I would be interested in our overall record in Nashville?

Yeah it seems if we are playing in Oakland or Tennessee it's a sure loss for whatever reason.

The two teams have met each other 76 times (including 4 postseason games), with the Tennessee Titans winning 32 games and the Pittsburgh Steelers winning 44 games.

Last time we won in Tennesee was 2010 Steelers 19 Titans 11

    yep
we returned the opening kickoff for a td every one making us play in home uniforms early in the season because of the high temps

was at the 08 game as well when we got our asses handed to us

we just need to score more and not rely on kicking a 50+ yd fg to win
