I think we will see Mundy. I would not risk it...

If I remember correctly the last time they played in Denver he was cleared to play but they opted not to (that was in the regular season too). I'm thinking he will probably play...even if its in a rotation type thing, who knows.

... and his gall bladder. Not sure if that organ was a part of the problem or it was a casualty of his sickle cell trait.

Clark did go to Denver and work out in '09 and didn't have any problems.

Actually the last time in Denver he played a few snaps to test the waters to see how he responds.

The time before that is when he played and almost died due to his sickle cell trait and the adverse effects it caused him and yes they removed his spleen then.

If I here anything this week I'll post it here.

He already said last week, if we went to Denver, he was cleared to play because the organs that cause his condition to be life threatening, are gone. If he doesnt play, it will be Tomlin's decision.

I don't think it's too huge if he doesn't play. Hell, I could probably get my tired, lazy a** out there and pick Tebow at least twice.

You may be right but I think that Ryan Clark has really played well the last half of the season. Plus, he leads us in tackles. I do not want to be missing him unless it puts his life in jeopardy which as reported on here, it does not anymore.

You're right. I hadn't considered the tackles. If he does play, I just hope there isn't the risk of something happening to him and then not being able to play against either Pats/Ravens. I'm looking past Denver a little too early, methinks. ;-)

He was cleared by Docs last time they traveled there, but Tomlin sat him. I did some reading and apparently the Sickle cell trait is exasperated by the high altitude because the cells elongate or sickle when losing oxygen. So either way he'll tire more while at altitude and have a harder time recovering. The spleen issue normally is only discovered after the symptoms manifest. The problem I see and what tomlin has to consider is that the hits he'll be taking and the risk of clots forming and causing other complications. Doctors say he should be good to go, but it's his call if he let's the player on the field.

I say start with Mundy and if he struggles, bring in Ryan slowly and see how he does.

I would say Tomlin doesn't let him play. In the post game, Tomlin said that it wouldn't be him making the decision to let him play. He said it would be professionals, like doctors who would make the decision. However, if the doctors say Clark is good to go, I still don't see Tomlin letting him play. If I were Tomlin, Clark and his Wife would make the last decision as if he shoulld play, and even then I still probably wouldn't let him play. I know Clark's wife doesn't want him to play.

However, I think Mundy can do the job good enough. He can hold down the fort good enough to get the job done.

OK, what am I missing here. It has been reported here that the danger is no longer there since the affected organs have been removed. It has also been reported here that he will have medical clearance to play. It has also been reported here that he worked out the last time we were in Denver with no issues. If all this is true, then why wouldn't he play? Is there some other medical issue that is not being reported?

The recovery time. We are going to need him when we travrl to baltimore next week. I really dont think denver is much of a threat. Our guys arent afraid to blow up a qb and once tebow crosses the los he is a runner and its time to bring the pain.. Lebeau iswill going toto confuse the hell out if him.
