Will James Conner’s running style cause him to be injury prone?

Am I the only one that saw Conner slide feet first like a QB giving himself up? I was not happy with that.

He had 145 yards rushing and won Offensive player of the week, no big deal if he slid on one play.

I saw that, but he was about to get slobber knocked. I’m not sure he lost any yardage. But it did seem odd.

I see the Steelers signed former Pitt RB Darrin Hall to the practice squad. Conner said he is improving and will be a game time decision.

It looked to me as if he lost his footing while trying to make a cut and realized he couldn't right himself before getting whacked, so he let it develop into a slide.

I guess he figured some self perseverance was in order because Tomlin was gonna try and kill him late in the game anyway

There was nothing he could do at that point but avoid the brunt of the hit. He was already going down, so why not avoid the contact?

The comment was a little tongue in cheek. I’m still a bit miffed as to why someone else couldn’t handle mop up duty. To me Watt being in was reckless as well. You have to preserve your guys when you can. I’m still scarred from the beating Ben took for no reason against SF years ago.

Our practice squad guy has some wheels, in preseason at least.

Doesn’t matter our most recent PS guy (Edmunds) obviously can’t even be trusted to take a hand off.
