Man I was reading asked and answered today and Labs doesn't fool around. He was quite savage with Conner after being in his corner for 3 seasons. Labs seemed to think a high drafted RB is needed.

May be a clue that they really are looking to get Najee Harris if at all possible.

I've been on record as saying that he'd be very hard to pass up if available as I look at him as a version of Nick Chubb who has been worth every bit the second round pick the Browns spent on him.

It would be impossible to pass on Harris if he's available at 24 IMO.

    AV and JC

Clearly nobody even wants these two but odds are they will come back and be starting for us next year!

    Can’t wait!

Actually, besides you, no one is dumb enough to think either of them will be penciled as a day one starter. AV’s best days are way behind him. They said they are going to upgrade the run game so you aren’t starting the same guy you started last year.

With that said, AV would make a nice cheap backup, who knows our system, if nothing better floats by.

Ditto Conner who had 936 combined yards last year.

But until after the draft, there is no reason to sign either one. Plus, unless you have something better, you have nothing to loose by taking them to camp.

When camp comes, clean out your fridge, garage and basement and throw all the odd beers into a cooler with ice. Go to camp and start by drinking the best beers. Work your way down until you have your limit. You might be glad you still had that 4 year old can of Pearl Light. Or maybe you can finally throw it away.

Well this ownership and coaching tandem make plenty of dumb decisions so I would not completely count it out. When you look at the current roster and our obsession with recycling players I could easily see these two starting next year for us. The draft is the big unknown I suppose if we draft a RB or OT rd 1 then maybe it won’t happen for one of them?

On a side note happy to see you are still doing well and kicking. Especially impressive for someone who has lived through both major pandemics in the last 100 years!

I attribute this mostly to Ribeyes and beer. The rest is just a function of general debauchery.

He was riding a 4-wheeler and was fine until someone tossed him a football. He stubbed his toe trying to downshift. Reports also say he was riding too upright and not protecting himself.

“A moderate turf toe type of injury”. Boy, just what an injury prone guy, who might be used up anyway really needs. Connor may struggle to get a vet minimum, come to camp and we’ll see contract.

As of right now, you're right, until you're not. I'd be more convinced if they were former #1 draft picks.

Cardinals seem to to always have good grass.
    That should help his legs.

Don't see what good grass helping his legs has anything to do with his injury problems. His "legs" were never the issue.

You ever see what they do with the turf in that stadium? It's actually on like train tracks so they can wheel it out into the sun. So it is real grass I believe.

Yes. Bring it in when you need it, put it out to enjoy the weather. Kind of like a cat.
