Why?

Can someone tell me why when Ben was injured and there was zero offense the defense played incredibly well and now the guy who makes the offense work comes back and the team now has to put up over 30 points to win? The offense sucked bad today and the defense was put in bad spots but my God, who many 3rd and longs can a team convert? But i digress, it is what it is and so goes the playoffs.

 

After not playing for three weeks, Ben showed his rust. The entire team did not come out with any passion. You can see it on there faces on the side line.
The chargers didn't have that many third and longs. The did enough on first and second to make it manageable. Our defense can not stop anyone on third and short. (5 yrds or less)

 

SD had one scoring drive over 50 yards...you can only put so much on their shoulders...though getting off the field on 3rd was an issue and hurt our field position

 

the only thing I can think of is they know they have to win the game when BEN isnt playing.....when Ben is they know if they just play ok that will probably be good enough

 

I was thinking of starting a thread saying the same thing..... We play much harder when Ben is hurt or suspended. (I'm not saying sit Ben for those that like to add words to others post)
