Why Plaxico and not Hines

    Who would you want in their prime?....Id take Hines..No one wanted Plax until Cotchery went down...

    In their prime I would take Hines and it aint even close.

    I think he was just sayin' that he would take Hines in his prime versus Plax in his.

    I wanted Plax when Wallace was pulling his hold out crap...I stated then that we should trade Wallace and sign Plax....I think we would have more wins if we had done that..Plax is a bigger target and he is a lot better blocker,this would help the run game and our Red Zone scoring.....

    Neither one of them are in their prime and Ward said he is done with football. I guess that is why I was a little confused. Not like there was a decision to make between them.

    We have a slew of receivers that can catch the ball mid-field. What we've needed is the height at the back of the endzone so we can improve our redzone effectiveness. Ward wouldn't have filled that need.

    I still would have preferred to keep Hines and encourage Polamalu to retire instead for the roster spot. I thought Ward had the heart to give another couple good years (though his concussion issues would have made me worry), but Troy is just way too injury prone at this point, and has been the last couple of years.
