    I don't think people realize how bang-bang football is at times. You have a split second to make a decision at times that appears to be an easy decision in hi def and slo-mo. One minute you're zoned in on the chest and torso and the next instant the guy stumbles or goes low and you have a direct head shot. It happens.

    Maybe Alex Smith didn't play well because of our defense?

    Did they talk about how many points we left on the field too?

    I think that is close to the truth. We play really ugly games sometimes and that was ugly. No way in hell we win against NE playing like that.

    I thought the only thing that was ugly was our redzone offense. Otherwise we were in full control of that game, moved the ball at will and the defense held them to 1 TD.

    And tip of the cap to KC defense, they really tightened things up in the redzone on us.

    Yeah but to me it was more about what we didn't do than what they did....and they did score 2,but still a nice performance on D

    Did the steelers even try to run once in the red zone, we don't even know what the results would've been. We let them off the hook by only throwing it.

    I think Pittsburgh ran the ball 7 times out of 25 that they were inside the KC's 25 yard line. The closest run was when they were at the 13 yard line. If they got closer, all the plays were passes. I agree, they should have tried more runs as they got closer to the EZ.

    They scored two touchdowns but who's counting. Your point is well taken. The D played well overall as a unit.

    Yeah, Steeldeal pointed that out :blush:

    D has been playing very well, better and better since the 2nd half of the season.

    They should've put Nix and Hubbard in the game to run Bell in the redzone.

    I guess if there's a positive for not running in the red zone, the cheats have nothing to look at. (vs a very good KC D)

    Best part? They finally got that "Signature Performance" they needed.

    Yes, Alex Smith is not going to light up the stat sheet but still had the likes of Hill and Kelce; both dangerous weapons.

    To shut down those two means that Pittsburgh has corrected two things;

    - The first is their inability to stop tight ends. They did not even have as much issues even in the first half of the season. Now, they shut them down altogether.

    - The second is the special teams (at least for now). They shut down a return demon in Hill. Can they do it again against Dion Lewis? We shall see.
