This most certainly has been brought up before, but if it hasn't it should have been. I'm kinda surprised the NFL isn't requiring vaccines to ensure everything goes as scheduled. Do you think they should be required to take the vaccine? Is the concern that it's still basically a trial and error drug?

It would be a Public Relations nightmare. NFL stating that their Athletes, Personal and schedule are more important than the elderly and health care workers and should be prioritized in a global pandemic.

More likely, there won’t be enough doses available until after the season is over

Maybe they’re actually forward thinking? Why take a vaccine for a virus that has a 99% recoverable bump in the road? Seriously gang... this **** has got to stop. I’m all for vaccines and choice to partake of em but a mandatory dose is bad manners

Most of the Vaccines are 2 dose treatments a month apart for full effectiveness'.

Even if they did get them in the next few weeks, the season is almost over.

Vaccines only work when the majority of folks get them. Not enough people take them, the herd immunity goes way down and outbreaks happen. I've watched enough documentaries on Polio and Measles to know that much.

They probably will but they don’t get to decide when they have access to the vaccine. First wave is going towards elderly/nursing homes and front line workers.

Talking about vaccinating millions of people, going to take a while before they hit the number they are striving for, I think 70% of the population.

That thinking is one of the biggest problems. That 99% is that you didn't die from it. What about the 10x the people who live and have permit organ damage from it. I had back in March and lived, so I fall in that 99%, but my lungs are permanently damaged and I will never be able to breathe normal again.

I doubt they could 'make them take it' as the players have a CBA.

Surviving, but being mess up, don't make the big headlines. The only thing you hear as an argument is the 99% thing. This has hit my family hard. My mom is in hospice and my brother is currently in the hospital.

99% recoverable is 3.3 million dead people in the US and 140million world wide. What has to stop is the 99% recoverable crap. Even if you’re only talking about the 70% infection rate to acquire herd immunity that’s over 2million deaths in this country alone.

Did you see where that healthy BB player had recovered from it months before then just recently collapsed from something. The problem with this jag off virus is they don't know the long term effects. A flu a ***** but you get over it and move on, this virus could have long term effects.

Absolutely, but we also don't know the long term effects of the vaccine. That doesn't mean people shouldn't get it, that's not what I'm saying, but I think it's wrong to force a rushed, somewhat experimental vaccine on people.

There is no way as an employer you are going to be able to force your employees to take a Vaccine. Your talking an absolute legal and HR nightmare.

Just generally talking to people, I bet 80% of people told me they won't get it, and maybe 20% would get it.

Amazingly astounding the number of people that work at hospitals etc. telling me they wouldn't get it.

I think more will get it but, they want to see that there is little side effects 1st, I think generally most healthy people who haven't gotten Covid-19 see it as a rushed vaccine and simply don't trust it at this point.

True, that issue would have to be worked out by the attorneys of both parties.

Some employers already force, and have for awhile, vaccinations. Most hospitals require thier employees to be vaccinated.

With all the unknowns and controversy surrounding a vaccination for Covid it would be a lawsuit waiting to happen.
