What is it between scheme and personnel, that the Ravens play better?

Well this year at least, the Pats had two special teams blunders in about two minutes that gifted the Ravens 14 points. They don't make any mistakes against us and when they do (Brady fumble) the refs give them the ball back anyway.

Imo.. They don't respect the Cheatriots. Where we do. I know Tomlin called them assholes but you can tell we respect them too much. Ben asking for Brady's jersey was ****ing disgusting and called him the greatest ever. I use to respect Ben a lot but not anymore. I think that vibe trickles down to the team. Where Suggs hates Brady/Patriots and lets it be known. Their coach also has balls.

The difference between the Ravens & Steelers is ...the Ravens have or had the ability to play press man coverage, provide pressure, & tackle effectively. When you look at our zone formation at the line of scrimmage today, I already knew the battle was lost before the snap. Disrupt the timing of his receivers is a requirement or your noodles. Brady thrives on zone coverage, we always play zone coverage plus we can't tackle worth a damn. Gotta play a cover two press coverage, leaving one line backer high & one low...

Approach and agressive D playcalling (pressure, check receivers at the LOS, disturb their tempo). Plain and simple.

Yes but we can't do it. We just don't matchup well with them. Will never unless Brady retires or we change scheme

Outside of Manning quarterbacked teams, the teams that have adaptive coaches who actually change their game plans to at least attempt to confuse them.
Every freaking time, Tomlin coached teams just look more and more lost vs the pats as they stick to their opening drive gameplan

Coaching. Of course it doesn't hurt to have Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, T Sizzle on your team.

Because, like the pats, they've been a better team than the steelers. We've only beaten the ravens 3 times in the last 11 meetings

Basically, the Ravens play them the way they play everybody. I think part of the problem when teams play the Patriots is they're petrified of getting beat by Brady that they want to keep the play in front of them. Look at the teams that give Brady fits. Giants, Ravens, Broncos (and to a lesser extent Houston). What do all of those teams have in common? They come after Brady, and play physical. The Patriots are going to get their chances, they're too good of a team to just stop them. But at least make them work for it. Soft coverage really does nothing, and just prolongs the pain.
