I thought Tribisky would be a lil bit more aggressive, what happened to 10 yard quick slants?
C'mon you're a pro, quit living in your fears.

Sounds like don’t turn the ball over and let the defense handle the rest

Matt Canada must have been a serious video gamer as a child cause he never runs outside.

Exactly! It's the same offense you run when Tribumski, Rudolph, Dobbs, Maddox, Korky Stewart, O'Donnell, Jim Miller, Mike Dumbzak, Bubby Booster, David Woodley, Mark Malone, Cliff Stoudt, Joe Gilliam, or Terry Hanratty is your QB...it's also known around the league as the Chuck-and-Duck-and-Punt offense!

These folks (including Dumblin) that were kissing Tribumski's @$$ after the signing and pretending that he's some "great" QB addition, well, you have to question their mental state with regard to football....yes, I'm fully aware Dumblin is a defensive secondary coach, too, not a QB guru! Nonetheless, this is his baby...

Tomlin has forever said his approach is to keep the game close and win it in the 4th with splash plays.

blocking PATs is what he bets on.

Its still early, but yeah the offense was really disheartening on Sunday. The play-calling was pretty suspect. I dont really recall a single scripted play that truly attacked the middle of the field. Two late throws over the middle (one incomplete one a completion) were the only two I remember throwing it between the hashes and further downfield than 10 yards. Teams are just going to sit on that unless we change it. Cincy isn't really a great defense either, so they really need to figure that out.

I am not a huge Mitch fan but he has had only one game of regular season action. Hopefully, he and the O line will improve with more live reps.

Why can’t we have an NFL offense???

Two answers: We don’t have an NFL Oline, and we don’t have an NFL OC. But other than that……

You have been in the basement way to long..step out and take some deep breaths. There is insanity in your belief...this O has nothing to do with most of what stated. My goodness man..breath and let the bad air out.

Maybe the encouraging part was not one bubble screen on Sunday? Probably the first time in a decade.

I'm pretty positive the Steelers are trying to see if they can hold out on Kenny playing with this line until it sorta gels or wait til next year when they can spend a draft on the line.

I think this is a good summary of the issue. They don’t / can’t trust the offensive line and the gameplan is designed to hide their shortcomings

That's good..but replacing it with WR runs is just as bad.

Insanity in my belief? WTF are you talking about, dude? Our organization has a deep, deep history of devaluing the QB position. The reason the Emperor has 4 Championships instead of 5 or 6 is because he rostered ALL bums after TB left...every damn one of them was a f****** bum. Stoudt, Woodley, Malone, Bubby, etc....all f****** bums! Same for Cowher, he has 1 Championship, but he could have had 3 or 4, that is if he didn't try to win with bum QB's. You can't create dynasties with Neil O'Donnell, Tommy Maddox, or dudes like Korky Stewart...hell, Korky was a damn wide receiver playing QB in the NFL! Are you kidding me?

Winning a Championship with a great defense and a bum QB is damn near impossible in the NFL, it's like having a shiny Lamborghini with a go-kart engine inside, IMO.

Arians and Whisenhunt were good OCs... IMO. And if weren't for the damn bubble screens.... I'd rank Haley with them too. Erhardt was decent in the 90's.

Sh!t man, I didn't realize any of this! Why in the hell didn't this organization figure this out before? All we need is a good QB? We better get moving on this before the rest of the league figures it out! #nobums!

Besides Chad Pennington or Tom Brady in 2000.... who the hell could Cowher/Colbert draft at QB during the Cowher years before Ben and after O'Donnell? There was no way they were getting Peyton Manning, Donavan McNabb, Drew Brees, Carson Palmer, etc.

The Broncos looked so great with Russ they decided to kick a 64 yard FG, instead of going for it on 4th and 5.

It's one game without Ben, let's see how the offense does moving forward, as Mitch gets more comfortable I think the offense will improve.
